Historia
Cassiel’s Servant is a retelling of the events of cult favorite Kushiel’s Dart from the point of view of Joscelin, sworn Cassaline warrior-priest, protector…and ultimate consort to Phèdre nó Delaunay. From childhood to the events that shape his manhood…and how his journey with Phèdre to avert the conquest of Terre D’Ange shattered body and mind. And brought him a perfect love that he will do anything to keep.

Wonderful!
Revisado: 08-04-23
As someone who has reread Kushiel's Legacy countless times over the years, this book had me hooked from the first few minutes, more than excited to see through the eyes of a well-loved character throughout all 6 books of the series. Any slight differences in the narrative are of course due to the perspective shift. After all, Joscelin was not trained in the arts of covertcy as Phedre was, so of course he would remember things a little differently, as the story is told from his perspective. An amazing book... and I am crossing my fingers in the hopes that his story is made into a trilogy, to cover all three books of Phedre's story. What was it like for him on La Dolorosa, or in the darkness of Darsanga? These are questions I must know!

Historia
Not every danger comes in the form of a mega-threat like a Titan. Some predators are a lot cozier...more personal. When one such creature threatens an independent tutor, Harry Dresden must shake off the blood and dirt of his most recent battles and rise to the occasion, even when it turns out that the new predator is far more dangerous and connected than first appearances would suggest.

Not as Bad as People Say
Revisado: 01-08-23
It's true that Jim Butcher is no James Marsters. However, as a long time fan of the Dresden series, I feel that Jim Butcher did an amazing job, especially considering he is not a professional narrator. Jim Butcher actually did very well in narrating his own sorry, and a good story it was. It may not have answered any questions that the fans of the series may have on events that happened in the previous book, but as a standalone story, I feel that it was very well done and gives a glimpse into what life is like for Dresden immediately after the events of Battle Ground.
Given the chance, I want to give encouragement to Jim Butcher and thank him for another good story. I look forward with eagerness to what he has in store for the series in the coming books.

Hard to Listen to
Revisado: 04-09-18
I am greatly disappointed in the production quality of this audio book. This had to have been the worst audio quality and editing I've ever heard in an audio book, and the simple fact that what seems to be a rough draft of the final production was actually pushed through to release.
Let me be clear, I am never one to write a review on an audio book, but this one was such an utter disappointment that I am tempted to say I'd rather have attempted to read it myself behind the wheel rather than listen to it while I drive.
Aside from all of that, Scott Card wrote an amazing book that was a delight to enjoy, even if it was difficult to listen to.
