Historia
In the late 2000s, Molly Bloom, a twenty something petite brunette from Loveland Colorado, ran the highest stakes, most exclusive poker game Hollywood had ever seen - she was its mistress, its lion tamer, its agent, and its oxygen. Everyone wanted in, few were invited to play. Hundreds of millions of dollars were won and lost at her table. Molly's game became the game for those in the know - celebrities, business moguls, and millionaires.

Pleasantly surprised
Revisado: 06-23-18
I watched the movie a couple weeks ago and knew the book would hcontain a lot more detail. What I wasn’t expecting was to get through to most of the book in one listening. Many key aspects were different from movie and unlike the movie states time and time again she named many of the real people which was very fascinating. Highly recommend.

Superstar comedian and Hollywood box-office star Kevin Hart turns his immense talent to the written word by writing some words. Some of those words include: the, a, for, above, and even even. Put them together and you have the funniest, most heartfelt, and most inspirational memoir on survival, success, and the importance of believing in yourself since Old Yeller.

Life lessons learned delivered in a humorous way
Revisado: 06-24-17
Kevin Hart is hilarious and I knew that already but this book really showed the depths of his struggle to make it where he is today and taught me lessons that I can apply to my own life to get where I want to be. The main one being persistence and the idea that you should always keep working to make it to the next level of your life and working on yourself to be a better version of you. I believe most people can identify with Kevin hart and his experiences and struggles. I highly recommend this book.

Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Unexpectedly the Most Amazing Autobiography I've Ever Heard
Revisado: 12-24-16
I've watched maybe twenty minutes of Trevor Noah on the show that he took over as host. I'm not even sure now which show it is...maybe John Stewart's show? Anyway I thought he was funny and I remember wondering "where did he come from and how did he make it to here?" This book doesn't cover the years paying his dues and making the rounds in the comedy circuit. It covers his formative years up to early adulthood and wow is his story and history extraordinary and remarkable. Knowing this, it's no surprise he had it in him to rise to the top echelon of entertainment and I hope he graces the world with this part of his story next bc I will def preorder that book. After reading this he has a new fan in me and I will be watching a lot more of him moving forward.

Hope the "good" guys get a win in the next one
Revisado: 09-03-16
I really enjoy this series but so far evil reigns supreme. I'm hoping the ending is evidence that the tides will start to turn for the good guys. I like the narrator but I think a book with this many characters could really benefit from one other talented narrator, preferably a woman, taking on some of their voices.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

long story.. every minute worth it!
Revisado: 08-26-15
This was an amazingly eye opening story bc although it is fiction, the author draws from the real history between the US and Mexico as well as our government's foreign policy. The characters were interesting, complex, and most of them very likeable. I thought the narrator did a wonderful job with all the characters he had to lend his voice to as well.
