Historia
After decades of unchecked sprawl, more people than ever are moving back to the city. Dense urban living has been prescribed as a panacea for the environmental and resource crises of our time. But is it better or worse for our happiness? Are subways, sidewalks, and tower dwelling improvements on the car dependence of sprawl?

Historia
The devastation of 7 October 2023 and the horrors that followed astounded the world. But the Israel-Palestine conflict didn't start on 7 October. It didn't start in 1967 either, when Israel occupied the West Bank, or in 1948 when the state of Israel was declared. It started in 1882, when the first Zionist settlers arrived in what was then Ottoman Palestine. Ilan Pappe untangles the history of two peoples, now sharing one land.

Best book on emotional science I've ever read
Revisado: 05-24-22
Densely packed with valuable information about what emotions are, what underpins them and how we should go about understanding them. Books narrated by the author are typically a cut above the rest in delivery and this is no exception. Definitely worth multiple re-reads just to fully appreciate what is given

Excellent book, real depressing and a must read
Revisado: 04-19-22
Best book I've read all year. Given the current geopolitical situation with Russia I needed a little background in history and Solzhenitsyn did not disappoint. There are so many parallels between what happened in the Soviet Union and now; code names like "special military operation" and "deprived of the right to correspond" are nothing new for Russia it turns out. More than anything I've gained a new appreciation for the society that allows me to freely learn about crucial parts of our history such as this, in the hopes that we may never repeat the tragedies that were experienced by the author and his compatriots.
