What an unexpectedly compelling listen

Open and genuine, an honest, heart rendering yet loving portrayal of the broken fairytale living in the stifling and controlled Royal business. Prince Harry’s loss and heartache came through in his voice. Well done Harry!

Juvenile and unrealistic

Where to start. i’m actually annoyed with myself for listening to the end. No discredit to the performers. They coped well with an awful script. A far fetched bunch of dribble about diabolical 13 year olds. Had they been 15 or 16, it might have been a bit less unbelievable, but 13! Clearly, the author has no children. Perhaps this audio original should have had a disclaimer denoting it was for a tween audience. Maybe you did and I missed it. Nonetheless, listening to it was time I will never get back!

Beautifully crafted and read by the author

I have listened to numerous wonderfully heart wrenching stories by Joshilyn Jackson and have enjoyed them all. Her characters are real and their complicated lives capture your interest and draw you into the loves, losses and secrets of lives you perhaps would not want, but definitely want to be part of throughout the intricately woven reveal of the story. I will definitely look forward to the author’s next release.

Beautiful narration of an impressively researched book

I loved the movie so much I couldn't wait for the audio book. While very different from the movie adaptation, this was an absolute pleasure to listen to. So well researched and compelling as it reveals the strength of each pioneering woman who made a difference for all those who followed. Bravo!

Heartbreakingly reveals the profound suffering so many families suffered during the Second World War.

I could not stop listening to this beautifully written heartbreaking account of the suffering so many innocent women and families endured. No wonder Lilac Girls has received such high ratings. Well deserved. This is a "must read/listen to"and will stay with you long after the last chapter ends. Bravo to the inspired writer and the superb narrators.
