The third book in Carlos Castaneda series, is very informative and fills in a lot of gaps from the first two books. Luis Moreno is a wonderful narrator who brings the characters to life.

This version is like the British occupation of India

The performance of the reader is like all the British translations of Sanskrit books during their occupation India. It feels like it’s more about the translator’s explanation, rather than being a direct translation. I want the Bhagavad Gita, not endless prattle about the Bhagavad Gita.

In terms of cannabis as a medicine, it is now sanctioned by a majority of US states, with approved medical indications that often go beyond what is really known scientifically about the effectiveness of cannabis treatment. Some countries and US states have approved full legalization of cannabis for adults; the regulations needed to control such legal use are still being worked out. In the public perception of cannabis and increased support for legalization, there have been big changes, and this book comes at a timely moment in this debate.

I consider this book an historical document that is not current to the information available at its time of publication. It is a good reference for the history of cannabis testing, knowledge and anecdotal uses. It only covers a few cannabinoids and never mentions terpenes and the entourage effect with cannabinoids.
This information was known 5 years before this book was published.
