There is so much in this amazing book that I didn't know about history and how our womanhood has developed and been treated through the centuries. It is very long but Ms. Gregory's narration is good and the information flows. I will need to listen again to absorb what I haven't this time. I highly recommend this book.

This is a new author in a genre I only occasionally select but I'm glad I did. This older book put me in a world I could imagine and every character elicited a feeling response, including the horses. I've since learned that Stiefvater writes YA but this book will definitely satisfy adult readers as well. Highly recommended.

I've followed Brian on You Tube for a long time so I partly knew what to expect with his book. He is on every political story asking the right questions, interviewing the right experts to get to the real truth. It's a time of distrust and ulterior motives all over the place and I am very careful who I read and watch for political information. I don't own a television. I think this book gives an honest assessment of where things stand with the parties and what to believe and watch out for moving forward. For me it's a binary choice because I watch closely and read. For some, this book is like a fist to the table to say, Listen and learn.

New author and narrator for me and I enjoyed both. This is much more than a romance, there are a few storylines interwoven and characters come along with them; all are unique and interesting. I would recommend this book as fiction as well as a romance. It was a lovely find.

I listen to romance among a variety of genres and though I really enjoy them, in many ways they follow the same few trajectories. Mister Romance cracks that mold and gives us a story with really interesting, multifaceted characters and relationships, and even a pet duck who also has a personality. (This is my second pet duck in a romance novel. Debbie the boy duck appears in Kiwi Rules by Rosalind James, whose New Zealand romances are wonderful) This is a story about people. It's not dangerous and what sadness there is is not overly dramatized or "devastating", a very overused word. The reveal of the mystery of Mr. Romance sets the story rolling and I had a hard time stopping to sleep. Andi Arndt is one of my favorite narrators; I'd listen to her read just about anything and she does a great job here as usual.
My only personal complaint is that there is a lot of drinking which can be a trigger for some.
I recommend this book to listeners who welcome a little of the unexpected with their romance. Enjoy!

I think the characters in this series are fairly interesting but in this book, Maggie, the female main character's internal drama and weak mindedness were more irritating than interesting. And while I know these brothers are meant to be Alpha Males, there are times when Michael, the male character is just a petulant bully. The story line is built around this two and it makes parts of the book a big eyeroll for me.

That's what I did. I passed this book by a number of times because the cover didn't appeal to me. Then I read the reviews and took a chance, sending me into this world of kingdoms at war over ownership and control of the Bridge which is almost like a kingdom itself. I found the characters interesting, the kingdoms well-drawn and the story fast-moving and engaging. It is a romance and that part is very good. There are a lot of descriptions of violence and gore but these kingdoms are at war. I don't love that kind of thing but it is very important to the story. There are four books in the series and all are very good. My only wish was that there was a PDF with a map of the kingdoms, bodies of water, the desert and of course the Bridge. Even after finishing the series, I still had a hard time visualizing it all in my mind's eye. I will revisit this series again for certain. If you like fantasy romance and well-imagined worlds, this is a good choice for you.

This is my second Steel book and what a disappointment. I know she's very popular but this book is slow and stupid, full of fluff paragraphs that don't move the story along, just fill time. The characters aren't very interesting either. I liked the premise of the book but there was just no substance to the story. I couldn't finish it. I may try her again, or not. I liked "The Duchess" very much.

Ryan Reilly has been reporting on this topic since 1/6 and I have looked forward to reading his book. I have followed these events very closely and he describes things I had missed or forgotten. This is an excellent chronicle of the reality on the ground for folks who haven't been watching closely and especially valuable as we move into the campaign season with Mr. Trump both the Republican candidate for President and the defendant in multiple trials about this and other events related to the 2020 election. I've followed Ryan's journalism since he covered the events in Ferguson and he does the work to get it right.

I stuck with this for an hour. I have over 1000 titles in my library and this is the stupidest of them all.
I like these narrators in other books, this is just a waste of their talent.
