Historia
In virtually every way that can be measured, Gen Z’s mental health is worse than that of previous generations. Youth suicide rates are climbing, antidepressant prescriptions for children are common, and the proliferation of mental health diagnoses has not helped the staggering number of kids who are lonely, lost, sad and fearful of growing up. What’s gone wrong with America’s youth? In Bad Therapy, bestselling investigative journalist Abigail Shrier argues that the problem isn’t the kids—it’s the mental health experts.

The author has a way of putting the most obvious opinions about child therapy into perspective.

Overall I loved every part of this book. I will be reading it over and over again. There was nothing that was just completely complicated to understand. But solidified what things we should advocate for our kids. I’ve already recommended so many of my friends to read it. I love that she relates the basic parenting goals to the things that we thought would help, but in fact are hurting the children we love. I’ve seen it first hand with my own daughter. And I love the approach to counseling shaming, where we parents are shamed for not believing that the counselor is the best option all the time. Sometimes. They just need to suck it up. And being hurt is ok. Love it like I’ve said. Will continue to recommend!

Historia
Natalie is living her dream: topping the charts and setting records as a Brazilian pop star...until she's dumped spectacularly on live television. Not only is it humiliating - it could end her career. Her PR team's desperate plan? A gorgeous yet oh-so-fake boyfriend. Nati reluctantly agrees, but William is not what she expected. She was hoping for a fierce bad boy - not a soft-hearted British indie film star.

This was suggested for ages 12-17. I think that should be revised. Mature content. Sex, social media, language. More young adult content than what is suggested. Eh book.
