Historia
There have been 19 years of blood. The ruthless Grand Duke Orso is locked in a vicious struggle with the squabbling League of Eight, and between them they have bled the land white. While armies march, heads roll and cities burn, and behind the scenes bankers, priests, and older, darker powers play a deadly game to choose who will be king.

DNF, predictable with boring characters
Revisado: 01-13-22
I had to abandon this book a third of the way in. I found myself not at all engaged with the story that is pretty predictable. The characters are also uninteresting, there is no mystery about them, I wasn't excited about what they were going to do next and their unique characteristics seemed more like caricatures. "This character eats all the time" or "this character counts everything" and that becomes their entire thing. Then some of the seemingly hard things just fall in place. If the poisoner with godlike capabilities can kill people at a touch then why not just use this overpowered character and be done with it. It became too much very soon and I couldn't bear 17 more hours of the same.

Historia
This landmark book is for those of us who prefer words to equations; this is the story of the ultimate quest for knowledge, the ongoing search for the secrets at the heart of time and space. Its author, Stephen W. Hawking, is arguably the greatest mind since Einstein. From the vantage point of the wheelchair, where he has spent the last 20 years trapped by Lou Gehrig's disease, Professor Hawking has transformed our view of the universe. A Brief History of Time is Hawking's classic introduction to today's most important scientific ideas.

Narration needs improvement
Revisado: 01-22-19
The narrator takes inaccurate pauses. A line is repeated and background noises such as paper turning and talking can be heard. The recording quality can be improved to remove these artifacts.

Told in language we all can understand, A Brief History of Time plunges into the exotic realms of black holes and quarks, of antimatter and “arrows of time,” of the big bang and a bigger God — where the possibilities are wondrous and unexpected. Stephen Hawking brings us closer to the ultimate secrets at the very heart of creation.

Historia
Raghuram Rajan was one of the few economists who warned of the global financial crisis before it hit. Now, as the world struggles to recover, it's tempting to blame what happened on just a few greedy bankers who took irrational risks and left the rest of us to foot the bill. In Fault Lines, Rajan argues that serious flaws in the economy are also to blame and warns that a potentially more devastating crisis awaits us if they aren't fixed.

Narrator makes mistakes
Revisado: 04-18-18
Any additional comments?
The narrator's accent is good and went along with the Indian author Rajan. But, he makes a lot of mistakes and has to repeat many sentences which could've easily been edited out. I do not know how the audible's narration works but this just looks like laziness from the narrator and audible.

Historia
It was on the Silk Roads that East and West first encountered each other through trade and conquest, leading to the spread of ideas, cultures, and religions, and it was the appetites for foreign goods that drove economies and the growth of nations. From the first cities in Mesopotamia to the emergence of Greece and Rome to the depredations by the Mongols, the transmission of the Black Death, the struggles of the Great Game, and the fall of Communism - the fate of the West has always been inextricably linked to the East.

I wish my life had a background score, a good sco
Revisado: 12-05-16
They added background score to the book at some points. But it comes abruptly and disrupts the flow. The author relies on repetition to make things funny but the narrator spoiled it for me. I struggled to finish and would strongly advise against this version.
