Thank you for the laughs and memories
Revisado: 08-29-23
I discovered this podcast during my vacation in July and have since binged the series. Thank you so much for bringing back all the memories of why I loved this series when it was originally on the air. I enjoy your recaps and discussions of each episode and look forward to your predictions about the next episode, which have been both eerily correct and amazingly bad. I show my love of Babylon 5 daily with my email address "entilza.bd@" (which I created in the 90s before I knew the correct spelling) and hearing you express your excitement and frustrations about this beloved series always leaves me with a smile and counting the days till the next episode.

Historia
Anita has never seen Damian, her vampire servant, in such a state. The rising sun doesn't usher in the peaceful death that he desperately needs. Instead, he's being bombarded with violent nightmares and blood sweats. And now, with Damian at his most vulnerable, Anita needs him the most. The vampire who created him, who subjected him to centuries of torture, might be losing control, allowing rogue vampires to run wild and break one of their kind's few strict taboos.

I am so conflicted
Revisado: 10-20-16
Which character – as performed by Kimberly Alexis – was your favorite?
Kimberly is one of the best readers out there, and many times she was the best part of the book
Any additional comments?
Anita Blake is one of my all-time favorite characters, but the stories have become so boring to me in the last few years. There has been very little character development, and even the sex scenes are mostly a waste of time, which might be surprising to some considering how much sex is in these books. I used to enjoy them, but that was back when they used to be a smaller part of Anita’s life - lately, all the books feel to me like they are about her relationships and trying to convince everyone else (the reader and other characters in the books) why we should care.I keep coming back to this series because I LOVE the characters, but the writing has been so bad lately that I end up skim reading to get past the boring parts, and it makes me sad. There are still occasional flashes of what drew me in the past - usually scenes involving Edward. Somewhere around “Narcissus in Chains”, LKH took a turn to polyamory that has overwhelmed everything else in the series. Instead of being a kick ass heroine with a great love life, she has a heroine that spends way too much time TALKING about all the relationships ad nauseum. There are several things that drive me crazy about the LKH’s writing, with this book, and also the last few books:1. She keeps reminding everyone of things that happened in prior books, over and over again in each proceeding book (sometimes the same thing several times in the same book). It almost feels like she is writing for someone who has never read any of the prior books in the series, and she feels she needs to tell everyone’s story over and over again.2. She over explains. I’ve lost count in this book of how many conversations contain a different way of saying “I don’t understand”, or “what did you mean by that” and then going on forever, explaining things that any person who has read a book in the series would get immediately. This has been going on in the series for a while, but this book has overwhelmed with it. I’m only a little past the half way point, and I swear she was paid by the word - it is full of useless filler that goes around in circles for pages and pages, doing nothing to advance the story. What makes me the craziest is that the one who needs things explained to them the most is Anita – how can you have a kick ass heroine who doesn’t understand almost everything and needs it explained to them over and over? You can’t.I will always read Anita’s stories, looking for those bits of gold in the dross. I am always hopeful that the next one will be as good as it was in the past, but I no longer recommend the books to others. There is nothing I love more than sharing the books I love with others, so this makes me sad.

Historia
Pittsburgh: a sprawling modern Earth city stranded in the heart of a virgin forest on Elfhome. Sixty thousand humans, 20,000 black-winged tengu, 10,000 elves, an unknown number of invading oni, four unborn siblings of an elf princess, three dragons, and a pair of nine-year-old geniuses. For every story written, there's a thousand others not told. Lives interweave. Fates intersect. People change one another, often without realizing the impact they've made on others. They come together like a mosaic.

Historia
Even though they attend a school of gifted students in New York City, child geniuses Louise Mayer and her twin sister Jillian have always felt alone in the world, isolated by their brilliance. Shortly before their ninth birthday, they make an amazing discovery. They're not alone. Their real mother was astronaut Esme Shenske and their father was the famous inventor, Leonardo Dufae. They have an older sister, Alexander, living on the planet of Elfhome, and four siblings still in cryogenic storage at the fertility center.

The best book so far!
Revisado: 05-20-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Wood Sprites to be better than the print version?
Although the book is wonderful, the audio book takes it to the next level. I have listened to the book at least a dozen times since I downloaded it, and it still makes me laugh and cry every time.
Who was your favorite character and why?
All of the characters are so well written, it is hard to choose a favorite, but I have to say I do love Joy.
What about Tanya Eby’s performance did you like?
Tanya Eby is amazing, and she brings all of the characters to brilliant life.
Any additional comments?
I have shared this series with all of my friends, and we are all anxiously awaiting the next book.
