A Beautiful Story

I don’t normally write reviews but this book was so beautifully written and narrated that I had to. I started reading Audrey Carlan’s books with her Lotus House series and became a fan. But this book was so soulful and I loved the main character- Evvie. Her struggles were so real. And lastly Milo was the the representation of a real man- strong, honest, straightforward, trustworthy. He was a joy to read. Don’t miss this book. It will do your soul well.

What A Series!!

I hardly ever write reviews but I had to for this last installment in such an epic series. First, I will say that I am biased because I am such a fan of Kristen Ashley books. But this series was everything! So suspenseful, emotional, action-packed. Full of steamy scenes and plot twists. And she mixes all of this with scenes that are laugh out loud funny!!! You will go through the emotional ringer by the time it’s over. I really like that even in this genre KA writes complex characters and plots. And just to say- I know that in an epic story like this an integral character has to die, but it totally broke my heart all the same. Guess that’s what makes this fantasy series feel real❤️.

Crystal Cove Friday Harbor Finale

I liked this story. Although a bit more fanciful than the others, it did sum up the series pretty well. She did play in a couple of the recurring characters. I liked it but not as much as the others in this series. However rooted in fantasy, the tale is still classic Lisa Kleypas when it comes down to the love story. Not a heart wrenching tale, but entertaining at most. Overall, not the best from Lisa Kleypas, but a solid performance.

Immensely Moving

Would you consider the audio edition of Night Road to be better than the print version?

I don't have the print version, but the narrator was excellent and, I'm sure, enhanced the entire experience. I don't think I could ever read this book and not remember the narration. Unforgettable!

What did you like best about this story?

It hit so close to home. It felt like this was something that could've happened to me or anyone I know. So many elements of this story felt real. On many levels, I could relate emotionally to this story. Such a tear-jerker. I read the reviews before reading, but I still cried so much, I went through half a box of tissues!!

Which character – as performed by Kathleen McInerney – was your favorite?

It's a toss-up I loved Zack! But Lexi, Mia and Jude were just as good.

Any additional comments?

This was probably the most moving story I have encountered in a very long time, if ever. It was so touching, I had to re-tell it to family/friends. Whenever I just see the title, I get chills! Well done Kristin Hannah. I will not ever forget this book.

Loved the series!

What made the experience of listening to Love Unscripted the most enjoyable?

Taryn and Ryan's character have such great dialogue. The supporting characters are also well developed.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Love Unscripted?

Too many, too important to the story to tell.

What does Madeleine Maby bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She does Ryan's character very well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Just listening to Ryan and Taryn's relationship unfold was very moving.

Such a good series, I need a third book!!!

Would you listen to Love Unrehearsed again? Why?

Yes, and I have. Love Ryan and Taryn's story. The dialogue is so realistic.

What other book might you compare Love Unrehearsed to and why?

Similar to Love in the Afternoon, but much better character development.

What about Madeleine Maby’s performance did you like?

She did great switching between characters. Great pacing.

If you could take any character from Love Unrehearsed out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Hands down...Ryan.

Wonderful sequel!

What made the experience of listening to Point of Retreat, Volume 2 the most enjoyable?

Learning more about Will and Layken after Slammed and getting a better glimpse of the supporting characters.

What did you like best about this story?

The love shown between Will and Layken. Although they are young, they overcome so many obstacles together. A really touching story.

What three words best describe Kamran R. Khan’s voice?

Fast, monotone, emotionless. Vocals needed work!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes. When Will performs the slam for Layken.

Loved the two books...I want more!
