Historia
The annual Historical Romance Writers of the World convention in New York City is calling to Jacqueline Kirby, a Nebraska librarian who desperately desires some excitement. But all is not love and kisses at this august gathering of starry-eyed eccentrics and sentimental scribes. As far as Jacqueline is concerned, the sudden "natural" death of a gossip columnist seems anything but.

stop using grace conlin
Revisado: 01-30-17
oh I think I should read books for a living. I hate conlin. she is monotoned. you can't distinguish characters in a running conversation. characters voices constantly change. when will you stop using her or give us an alternative? I probably would have enjoyed the book more with another narrator. I only downloaded it because I loved naked once more, but of course Barbara rosenblatt narrated that.

Master of suspense James Patterson continues the Women's Murder Club series with this nail-biter of a sequel to 1st to Die. What are they thinking?
Revisado: 08-04-07
Why don't producers of audio books make the narrators audition before signing contracts? I agree with the reviewer who said it was the worst narration ever. If the producers of these books aren't familiar with the work of narrators like Barbara Rosenblatt and Jim Dale, they should not be in the business. I hate wasting my money on books that could be better narrated by a third grader. The story is OK but not as good as the first. It would have been more enjoyable if there had been some decent narration. Is this woman really an actress? Did she listen to her own narration? It boggles the mind.

the best for last
Revisado: 01-30-06
This was the best of the Vicky Bliss series. I was very sad to discover it was also the last. I enjoyed Amelia Peabody very much, but I found myself more attached to Vicky. I wish there were more. If you haven't listened to the Barbara Rosenblat narrations, you are doing yourself a great injustice. The first time you hear Vicky Bliss you won't believe it is the same person who narrates the Amelia Peabody series. The woman deserves accolades and awards for both the Amelia Peabody and Vicky Bliss series.

Oh No! Downloaded Wrong Narrator!!!!
Revisado: 04-25-05
I LOVED the first book, but it was narrated by Barbara Ronsenblat. Susan O'malley sounds like a school-child asked to read in class compared to Ronenblat. She is so monotone that my mind wanders while listening and find I can't get interested. I well never download another narrated by her again! (sorry susan).
