Historia
Shocking and controversial when it was first published in 1939, Steinbeck's Pulitzer prize-winning epic The Grapes of Wrath remains his undisputed masterpiece. Set against the background of Dust Bowl Oklahoma and Californian migrant life, it tells of Tom Joad and his family, who, like thousands of others, are forced to travel west in search of the promised land. Their story is one of false hopes, thwarted desires, and broken dreams, yet out of their suffering Steinbeck created a drama that is intensely human, yet majestic in its scale and moral vision.

Wonderful!

Being on the road a lot, I listen to Audible practically everyday. It's a great way to pass the time as the miles roll by. This rendition of one of our nation's most iconic novels is superb. Dylan Baker's narration is astounding. His well crafted individual voices to the characters cause this story to leap alive in the listener's imagination. I highly recommend this recording. It is wonderful. At the conclusion, I realized this story will stay with me for quite some time.

297 Untitled Chapters! 297!
Revisado: 05-22-15
Table of contents only gives chapter numbers. 3 1/2 hours of birdcalls with no way of finding the specie you are looking for without listening to 3 1/2 hours of audio and then compiling your own table of contents. How is this helpful? I feel like I have totally wasted my money and now my time. I highly recommend you do not waste your device's storage on this purchase.
