What did you like best about The King's Deception? What did you like least?
2 hours to much with historical information. Certainly, a little is needed to support the premise of the story. However, every marriage and offspring in English history is overkill.
Other than that a solid story line. Scott Brick always a solid read.

Liked it but it took a while

This book is sooooo technical, that it took a while for me to begin to grasp it. I started to give up on it in the middle and almost quit. Toward the very end it all came together.
There are many things happening at multiple levels. Religion, Politics,War, Human interaction comparisons to present and future and of course tech....It is one of those books that you will think about long after you are done.

... at least Patricia Cornwell's books are progressive... progressively they get worse !!! my goodness, not only is the a lame story line but the characters never become real. Mostly what turns me off though, is the "reader". Her dialects for Merino make him sound like a Jersey mobster...I think this will be my last attempt at Patricia's books... to many better story tellers out there to spend my time and money on.

Listening to this book is right up there with "root canal surgery" !!! I'm more than half way through and not sure I can make it the rest of the way without "pain killers" !!! Other than the story being really very shallow... the reader uses an accent for Moreno that sounds something like a cross between a Jersey Mobster and a Chicago Teamster. Come on Patricia ... get it together... other authors are passing you by with more intelligent stories and productions. It's just bad... steer clear of this one.
