The voice actors are obviously very passionate about the material. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this.

Unequivocally the Most Intelligent and Useful Book on Relationships—Applying It Saved My Marriage

This book truly saved my marriage and helped me make sense of many aspects of my past life. However, I want to emphasize that this is not your typical breezy self-help book. It’s challenging in two significant ways: first, the author is incredibly intelligent and assumes a high level of sophistication and understanding from the reader. Second, some of the concepts might initially feel uncomfortable or even offensive. I certainly felt that way at first. But once I allowed myself to lower my defenses, I found that viewing romantic relationships through the lens of economic market principles actually made them much clearer to me.

This book now holds a special place in my collection—one that I will return to for reference and re-reading. The fact that the author narrates the book himself is a bonus. His passion for the material shines through, and he has a great voice for narration. He could easily be a professional Audible narrator.

50% virtue signaling / 10% personal story / 24% filler / 1% SISU?

In the authors defense, I have only listened to 30 minutes and really don’t have the SISU to continue so maybe it becomes coherent later on.

Wikipedia says “Sisu is a Finnish word variously translated as stoic determination, tenacity of purpose, grit, bravery, resilience, and hardiness.” I read the Wikipedia article while listening to the book because after 25 minutes it seemed clear that the author had no clear understanding of this topic to transmit to the reader. She’s constantly introducing people that she claims are experts, and then using their words and describing her idea of what they mean this to me, seems like a university report that a student would write.

Narrator has a great voice.

At first, I really enjoyed the style, and the narrators are very pumped up and motivational. But then I realized, as the chapters went on without any real information or content that they are just hyping their expensive paid program.

Look elsewhere for practical guidance, but if you like endless virtue preaching and diatribes about collectivism then enjoy!

There are some interesting thoughts about work form home here. But as a builder of business I found this book less insightful then I hoped. I wanted insight on how to make the best work from home solution for my employees. In fairness to the author, I don’t think that’s what he was trying to write.

It is light on practical suggestions and heavy on virtue preaching as is currently popular. (I think you can have to much of a good thing.). Toward the end it practically becomes a communist manifesto. (If that’s your thing just finish Das Capitol already, nothing new here)

It’s clear that the author has never run or managed in a business. There are basically no practical suggestions on how to effect the changes he suggests. He thinks company’s should ask less of employees, pay more tax, negotiate with unions and be more active in the community. Sounds nice, basically the author thinks the world would be fixed if only everyone else paid for everything needed by everyone.

Then he goes on and on about random acts of kindness that other people are doing for people. Which is nice stuff but… what is this book supposed to be about?.

Then he had a note to executives so I perked up but… nothing useful just obvious fact and useless opinions.

Buy the end I just wondered “What is this book about?”

New Title suggestion “Random Opinions about Work and how the Whole World Should Be Run, and Collectivism is The Best System”

Author has a great voice, he should read other peoples books!

This book will explain in scientific detail, how if you choose to neglect a cardio routine, you are putting your longevity, cognitive brain function and emotional health at risk.

Really surprised me, it's so much deeper than the movie. It is really about morals and philosophy more than a action story.
