Historia
For the past year and a half, Willem has been an outcast in his hometown. Everyone believes he’s a killer. On top of the murder accusations, his “biofuel/fertilizer” business is failing. He’s well over knee-deep in inventory with no chance of a sale in sight. When Murven, his out-of-work best buddy, volunteers to help him with his daily collection, they discover Willem is stockpiling more than he bargained for as an "entre-manure."

Disappointed. Waste of money!
Revisado: 12-21-24
This was neither humorous nor a mystery. It was slow, dumb and boring. I was very disappointed. I tried to return it but unfortunately since i bought it using my bank account instead of an audible credit it wasn't eligible for return.

Excellent Read!
Revisado: 07-12-20
My son is reading this book for a summer program so I thought it would be fun if I "read" it too, so we could talk about it. I expected it to be very juvenile and lame but I was pleasantly surprised! It is actually a great read! I loved the humor in the book and the suspense certainly kept me "turning the pages!" I would recommend this book to everyone!

Historia
The year was 1917. As a war raged across the world, young American women flocked to work, painting watches, clocks, and military dials with a special luminous substance made from radium. It was a fun job, lucrative and glamorous - the girls themselves shone brightly in the dark, covered head to toe in the dust from the paint. They were the radium girls. As the years passed, the women began to suffer from mysterious and crippling illnesses.

Wow!
Revisado: 09-06-18
I am shocked this story wasn't told sooner! The author does a fantastic job bringing the girls' stories to life! Their stories absolutely deserve to be told & she does it with such respect and dignity! I found myself hardly able to put it down!

Historia
A single mother turns up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through town. Earlier in the summer, a vulnerable teenage girl met the same fate. They are not the first women lost to these dark waters, but their deaths disturb the river and its history, dredging up secrets long submerged. Left behind is a lonely 15-year-old girl. Parentless and friendless, she now finds herself in the care of her mother's sister, a fearful stranger who has been dragged back to the place she deliberately ran from - a place to which she vowed she'd never return.

hard to follow but great story otherwise
Revisado: 10-20-17
it was hard to follow because of how the timeline jumps aroud & it switches frequently between characters but its a good story.
