Adorable story but issues with audio
Revisado: 01-22-16
I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
Story: In Changed?, it was really interesting to see the aftermath of the "other guy" (Nick) from Just Pretending and learn more about his side of the story (especially concerning the issues that caused Cam to stop liking him in the first place). I loved how despite the fact this was not told in his POV, it covered different issues from the first book while also making Nick a likable character who I was really rooting for. While I wouldn't necessarily call him the antagonist of Just Pretending, for lack of a better term, I loved that this really showed how the antagonist is the protagonist of their own story and despite how things might seem on the surface, there is always more than one side to every story. Plus, I thought the friendship and subsequent romance between Nick and Summer was not only very sweet but I loved the deviation from that all too typical formula of drama = misunderstanding = break-up = get back together at the last possible second.
Performance: Honestly, there was a serious issue with the audio of this audiobook. For some reason, multiple times throughout the audiobook a sentence would be read and then immediately part or all of that sentence would be repeated. While this is something I could possibly have overlooked, at an hour, eighteen minutes, and forty-six seconds into the audiobook it had reached the end of the actual book and jumped back to just repeat the last fifty-two minutes and sixteen seconds as a "fourth chapter". This was not only incredibly confusing upon first hearing it and not knowing what was going on, as it is an audiobook, I was uncertain if there was more to the actual story that would play after the repeated portion (there was not) or if it had in fact ended and for some unfathomable reason it was decided that a good majority of the story would just be replayed. I do not know where this issue originated from but it really needs to be fixed.

Fun & Sweet Love Story
Revisado: 01-22-16
I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
Story: This was such a sweet and fun love story that I truly enjoyed. Certain aspects of the "pretend relationship" and how it would turn out felt a bit predictable or obvious to me early on, but not in a bad way at all. The parts I did predict didn't necessarily happen or weren't necessarily revealed in a way I would've predicted, which made it even more interesting to me. I would have definitely enjoyed more of their love story after it ended.
Performance: I am a bit wary on how to rate the performance since this is one of my first attempts to actually rate an audiobook performance. As I feel a responsibility to be honest, it wasn't the best that I have heard but it was far from the worst. I feel as though it was less of a "performance" where there is a distinct change in voice and tone from character to character and from dialogue to text; it felt more like a straight reading that at times made it feel longer than it actually was and made it a bit more confusing to differentiate between characters and what is being said versus what is being thought. On the positive side of things, the narrator has a pleasant voice that is easy to listen to. Also, as opposed to many audiobooks I have heard, there was no obvious mispronunciation of words which I definitely always appreciate. Overall, I'd say it was good but not necessarily great.
