A Must Read
Revisado: 09-21-20
At first, I hesitated to read her book because I didn't want to walk through the pain of Andrew, her husband, taking his life. He was a friend and my pastor. I am so glad I read her book. I highly recommend it to everyone. It is a love story, mixed with a tragedy, and covered in God's love. She speaks hope loud and clear.
Kayla is a brave young woman who tells her story with honesty and love. Plus, she is a beautiful writer. Don't be misled by the subject matter - her book is for everyone. I bought the book and then decided to listen to it on audible to hear Kayla's sweet voice.

Historia
It’s 1938, and Ann Brooks has big dreams of her new life as a Seattle College coed. She’s left the old-fashioned ways of her small country town behind to pursue higher education and a teaching career. But not everyone is ready for change. Society still preaches that a woman’s place is in the home. Some refuse to see Ann as an equal deserving of an education - let alone a career - and Ann's friends think school is simply a springboard to pursue a marriage of wealth and convenience.

I listened to the book on audible and loved it. The narrator was fantastic. I found it to be entertaining and intriguing. I couldn't wait to get back to it to find out what was happening next. Plus, I loved reading about Seattle as I have visited there often.
I am looking forward to Dawn's next book.
