Great book to kickstart your photo creativity
Revisado: 03-13-20
If you're like me, you crave everything photography. I LOVE hearing photographers talk about their process. What they like, what motivates them, who influenced them, etc... This book really kickstarted my desire to get out there and shoot. Whether you're a novice photographer or a professional one, I think this book will benefit you greatly. I think this is book I'll go back to at least once a year just to rekindle my photographic creativity. HIGHLY recommend it!!

Historia
A psychologist in suburban Cleveland, Dustin is drifting through his forties when he hears the news: His adopted brother, Rusty, is being released from prison. Thirty years ago, Rusty received a life sentence for the massacre of Dustin’s parents, aunt, and uncle. The trial came to epitomize the 1980s hysteria over Satanic cults; despite the lack of physical evidence, the jury believed the outlandish accusations Dustin and his cousin made against Rusty. Now, after DNA analysis has overturned the conviction, Dustin braces for a reckoning.

Depressing. I'm out.
Revisado: 05-24-17
If you're going to attempt this one, make sure your Prozac prescription is up-to-date. I've only returned a couple of the books to audible out of hundreds and hundreds I've attempted. This would be one of those. Appears to be written by someone that has a very bleak outlook on life. If you get no enjoyment out of life and want to hang out with others in the same mind-space, perhaps this is the book for you. Otherwise, I would highly recommend skipping it.

Wish all audiobooks were this good

Can we just have Will Patton read all audiobooks? Please? He's flat-out the best. The book itself is terrific as well. Love the Dave Robicheaux series. If you haven't tried them, start with the first one and enjoy.

Historia
Josie and her children's father have split up, she's been sued by a former patient and lost her dental practice, and she's grieving the death of a young man senselessly killed. When her ex asks to take the children to meet his new fiancée's family, Josie makes a run for it, figuring Alaska is about as far as she can get without a passport. Josie and her kids, Paul and Ana, rent a rattling old RV named the Chateau, and at first their trip feels like a vacation.

Maybe better with a prozac or two?
Revisado: 08-26-16
What disappointed you about Heroes of the Frontier?
The fact that everyone that rated this book highly is allowed to rate books. I cannot see how this book would appeal to anyone. I am not a picky listener. I can get through about any book, but not this one. It's the only book I have ever returned. The more time I spent with the protagonist in this book, the more I detested her. Constant wining. Constant complaining. Ugh. It's just terrible.
What could Dave Eggers have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Maybe have the protagonist of the story NOT complain about every single things she sees or does. That would be a start.
Which scene was your favorite?
The part when I couldn't take anymore and stopped listening.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The performance was fine. I won't blame the messenger.
Any additional comments?
Terrible.
