Historia
An unimpeachable classic work in political philosophy, intellectual and cultural history, and economics, The Road to Serfdom has inspired and infuriated politicians, scholars, and the public for half a century. Originally published in 1944 - when Eleanor Roosevelt supported the efforts of Stalin, and Albert Einstein subscribed lock, stock, and barrel to the socialist program - The Road to Serfdom was seen as heretical for its passionate warning against the dangers of state control over the means of production.

great read of the classic book.

I listened over many days. The fact that so many translations have been around even in communist Hungary confirms the value of the necessity to read this book.
Am open mind for the reader will be enlightening of the ideas in this story upon its conclusion.

Historia
In a scrap heap within an abandoned factory, the greatest invention in history lies dormant and unused. By what fatal error of judgment has its value gone unrecognized, its brilliant inventor punished rather than rewarded for his efforts? In defense of those greatest of human qualities that have made civilization possible, one man sets out to show what would happen to the world if all the heroes of innovation and industry went on strike.

Revisado: 10-07-22
Originally I was thinking wow this is a lot of time invested.. The narrator was great the story was read with conviction and conviction and excellent storytelling. The struggle and success of the characters in the end well how long was well-thought-out and well read with with a finish that is worthy of the author.

Revisado: 11-02-19
Very interesting storyline to me. Great to know it's real. The book was read very well the character is intriguing and easy to follow. I wish more details would have been revealed creating what everyone knows is a much more suspenseful story but much of the information is classified. Leaves a lot for the mind and imagination to create the back story line in your own head.

Who is killing America? Is it really Donald Trump and a GOP filled with white supremacists? In this audiobook, Dinesh D’Souza makes the provocative case that Democrats are the ones killing America by turning it into a massive nanny state modeled on the Southern plantation system. Death of a Nation's bracing alternative vision of American history explains the Democratic Party's dark past, reinterprets the roles of figures like Van Buren, FDR, and LBJ, and exposes the hidden truth that racism comes not from Trump or the conservative right but rather from Democrats.

I enjoy this and there's a lot that mainstream media is not reporting that is clearly evident based on the facts revealed in this book. I recommended as a good listen to anybody the chooses to get all the facts and base their own opinion on the total sum, not just what is reported in the mainstream

Published in six volumes between 1776 and 1781, The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire - for all its renown - can be intimidating. It contains one point five million words, an estimated 8,000 footnotes, a cast of 10,000 historical figures, and a timeline of more than 1,000 years. Yet even today, Gibbon's historical chronicle demands to be understood.

Very good educational study.
Revisado: 06-01-18
Although it was not exactly what I was expecting which was a direct reading of Gibbons book this had a lot of additional valuable information that I would suggest you still listen to. The value comes in the translation and interpretation of the footnotes in the book which are not translated into English but consists of about 25% of the total pages in the book. Even lthough not every chapter was read completely or every footnote translated this interpretation I feel was excellent to anybody looking to study Gibbons book or knowledge and information on the topic.

Historia
Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it.

Good read and learned a lot of new information.
Revisado: 05-24-18
Interesting & easy to follow as well as a good story. TRUMP is a great negotiator and is not afraid to simply ask for what he wants which is sometimes outrageous but if the other party agrees it's just beneficial to ask anyway. Often it works out in his favor. Usually he is not without an upper hand be it information, reputation or the capability to simply pull off the deal.
I enjoyed it.
