This would have been an amazing book without the moralizing, self flagellation and condemnations of America. My eyes were opened and I genuinely grew to love the RTR and all the interviewees. However, I don't need or want to hear about privilege, the American castes or income inequality. America and capitalism offer equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome, which was never mentioned or acknowledged.

I am a Michael Crichton fan. I believe his writing is engrossing, and he does sufficient scientific research to make the story plausible. I really enjoyed all Jurassic Park movies, because dinosaurs capture the imagination, but the books can't be beat. The plot is richer, and the details are exquisitely added in. Scott Brick did a wonderful job narrating, as well.

Ernest Shackleton is one of history's great survivalists. This study of his doomed Antarctic expedition sheds light on his leadership, moxie and sheer determination. It's a must read for all leaders, mariners, explorers and people who like to live life on the edges.

Leah understands and compassionately but directly addresses so many of the challenges that women struggle with. We all seek goodness, truth and beauty, and Leah shows us a path to true beauty. This book is deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, but even those who are not Catholic, Christian or who don't believe in God will connect to and learn from this wonderful work. Must buy!

This book was a quick and entertaining listen, but it's nowhere near as good as The Martian. The protagonist is marginally likeable, although the background of the story is really interesting. The voice actor doesn't always keep the same accent or voice throughout. Enjoy it, but don't expect too much!

I was drawn in by the stories and anecdotes shared by the author. The author did a great job of reading and lent even more credence to the tale.

Interesting story really well narrated. The narrator did an amazing job of getting into the character, and I truly believed he was the character.

If you enjoy listening to lists of correlations couched as causations, this is the book for you. If you enjoy listening to someone judge history through a modern day lense and condemn the actors based on hindsight, this is the book for you. If you enjoy listening to a long-winded diatribe against religion, this is the book for you.

If instead you'd hoped to hear logical and scientifically based reasoning refuting the existence of God, go elsewhere. This book will just be a waste of your time.

Amanda Palmer does a beautiful job of trying to bring her book to life. The addition of songs and her own brand of humor make this book nearly tolerable. However, the book itself is banal and dull, going on and on. I couldn't finish, though I attempted several times.

Neil deGrasse Tyson does a good job of trying to explain complicated physics principles in ways that the layman can explain. However, I did not appreciate his constant anti-theistic attitude, which tainted every lecture with a negative attitude.
