I hate to say this is a rough read
Revisado: 09-09-22
This book feels like we have not moved on. This is all about the tropes of country music of slowly losing everything crossed with sexest politics and racist overtones not even being hidden as being half elven. It dusts off one of the most popular characters to lead you on a fan service trip that only the most dedicated fan boys will pick up on, To me the time line ends with Dragons of Summer Flame still. The epic part of Dragonlance is the companions ship and honest goodness if not necessarily Lawful of the troubled characters that are tied together Carmon and Rastlin, Flint and Tass, Steele and Palin even Kitt and Ski This does not have it. If you want a much better Dragonlance experience look up Brothers in Arms and the Doom Brigade both are incomplete trilogies but at least they stood on their own story. They have the comradery that this book doesn't. Sad to say but I understand why Wizard of the Coast tried to stop this book even Dragons of a dragon ski was better then this because it still had the fell of comradery if self centered.

Historia
Five years ago Michael Graham betrayed the only person who ever really knew him. Since then he's made an art of hiding his sexual orientation from everyone. Including himself. So it's a shock when his past strolls right into the Harkness College locker room, sporting a bag of hockey gear and the same slow smile that had always rendered Graham defenseless.

I dont want to get into to much details but the stadium when he comes back to his home town is so moving it is amazing. This book needs to be listed as LGBTQ+ it is some of the best modern representation I have read and in such a positive way of being out without glossing over the bad side of people too.

My name is Sawyer William Vincent - I know, it sounds like three first names - but most people know me as the Red Raptor. Well, technically no one knows I'm the Red Raptor, he's just a bit more popular. Wow. Enough about my name. Let me start over. I’m a superhero - the legendary Black Harrier’s partner. Not sidekick. I don't care if I'm still in high school. We work together to bring down the city's most dangerous villains. When the Black Harrier gets a mysterious note, then goes missing in New York City, things are pretty much left up to me. But don’t worry...I’ve got this.

This is a cheesy super hero book that sometimes is a parody sometime and fan service but is all around fun.

Historia
As the celebration of the victory at Legatus cools, a shuttle accident claims the lives of the Mage-King of Mars and his heir. The Crown and the Mountain fall to the Mage-King’s daughter, 16-year-old Kiera Alexander. She recalls Damien Montgomery, her father’s First Hand, to stand as her Lord Regent. The pair are unprepared to govern but are thrust into the heart of Protectorate politics. Damien is grimly certain of one thing: when it comes to the deaths of Kings, he doesn’t believe in accidents.

Good but feels to set up...
Revisado: 07-12-20
This feels both to for told and way to rushed... Less then over book 5 and 6 we were told both the Mountain was vulnerable twice the fleet flag ships and The Hands and a conspiracy has put Damon as Acting King of Mars. When in chapter one why did Both Dezmands both get in a shuttle of any kind at once. They should have been on a Battleship.
A book about reclaiming Lagotess and tracking down The mastermind
This book needed to have something like DMA 3 should have the chose do the sacrifice to save his son or the man who can save them all and his daughter Damon.
Micheal is just way to good in this to fast for needing training wheels with Damion to start.

Historia
When the star system of Legatus was preparing to secede from the Protectorate of the Mage-King of Mars, it was the secret agents of the Legatan Military Intelligence Directorate that laid the groundwork and fought the covert war to make it happen. Now, as the open conflict draws to a bloody stalemate, LMID has been broken. Their leader is dead, murdered by agents of the Republic they helped birth. Their surviving agents have scattered, following a final protocol that orders them to defect to the Protectorate. An old friend brings all of this to Damien Montgomery.

Historia
A cursed druid, blackmailed by a faery queen to find a missing magic rock. Let's just hope they don't hack the druid off...for everyone's sake. Name's Colin McCool. Folks call me the Junkyard Druid. I hate that name. Despite my last name, I'm not "cool" like the other hunters in town. I don't run an occult bookstore, I've never owned a Harley, and I didn't inherit a family fortune passed down through generations of hunters before me. And I kind of have this curse on me that's messed up my life.

A good read
Revisado: 05-05-20
I got this book on audio threw a kindle sell for some light listening. Junkyard druid is different then most most mystic adventures I have listened to. I have PTSD so the emotional twists I get but the Jornal flash backs are probably a little easier to fallow in the wrotin book because they dated to the events. Also the author's forword I think was almost unneeded it is a good book.

Aaron is the begining this is the next
Revisado: 09-25-14
Where does Spencer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is a very special to be cause I have PTSD. If Aaron is about learning to cope and hope spencer is about closer and moving on. I think this is harder at point then Aaron. You get higher Highs and Lower lows.
What other book might you compare Spencer to and why?
It is hard to compare this book to most anything. I deals with issues few can handle and does it in a way to be that is insightful respectful and humane. It leads you to hard point without pushing it in a way to fully see the horror.
If you like this book you should also look into love at first sight (by Cadeno C,), A better place and the nudo twins (by Mark a Roeder), Ethan who loved Carter (by Ryan Loveless), Locker Room(by Amy Lane), Inhered the star (by Airal Tachna), A sold core of alpha and Locker Room (by Amy Lane), love comes silently, bottled up, and a taste of love (by Andrew Gray) all are on here.
Which character – as performed by Tyler Stevens – was your favorite?
I still love how Tyler Stevens manage Spencer voice and thought. Spencer is deaf from birth so he doesn't have the normal speech patterns most do. I don't think the books work so well without him. I never once felt Tyler wasn't Spencer when he talks.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This is not a book you want to stop but also this book can hit harsh points you need to breath. The subject matter is so harsh Aaron is Spencer's lover of 3 years. Aaron and a friend abducted were sexually assaulted and left for dead. To quote Aaron " They left us there one went in an ambulances and the other a horst" when he was forced to publicly speak of it
Any additional comments?
I am using this space a a personal note from me a PTSD and survivor self. I can not tell you how many times I have listened to Aaron it is to many to count I think this book is the harsh and personal to me I recommend it to people trying to understand me or anyone dealing with PTSD. Will it be easy far from it but what is when it come to PTSD.
I have hoped and prayed this book would come to audio because I am extremely dyslexic and couldn't make it through the books. But this review is for Spencer a man with heart of gold. This book I feel is important to those trying to move on from PTSD and there partners with is about imposable to find. I know this almost to well myself, Seeing the sacrifices both put into this is hard almost imposable. The part of the book that felt personal was when Aaron was sick on the bathroom floor being held by spencer. I don't know if there more books for this story but I really hope so also.
I don't know if J.P. Barnaby ever reads these but if so god bless you from a Indiana guy you really have made not feel as alone.
I hope you buy this book and thanks for reading this

Historia
Two years after a terrifying night of pain destroyed his normal teenage existence, Aaron Downing still clings to the hope that one day, he will be a fully functional human being. But his life remains a constant string of nightmares, flashbacks, and fear. When, in his very first semester of college, he’s assigned Spencer Thomas as a partner for his programming project, Aaron decides that maybe “normal” is overrated. If he could just learn to control his fear, that could be enough for him to find his footing again.

My first and rare reviews
Revisado: 05-06-14
Would you listen to Aaron again? Why?
i like interesting books and my own life has been not the easiest. This book is so amazing and so heart braking. If you listen to it once you will miss alot the book will make you miss some things just do to the facts of how harsh the subject matter is.
Who was your favorite character and why?
picking between aaron and spencer is imposable 2 guys one born from tragic moment the other destroyed in an instant manage to pull them selfs up together i have been on audible for about a year i got this book a month ago and have no idea how many times i lessened to this book. This book should be read by anyone with family with PTSD you will get an understanding that your love one can tell you and it can teach you how to be how to help.
Which character – as performed by Tyler Stevens – was your favorite?
they audio talent is so good Spencer is deaf from birth and Tyler Stevens did an amazing job of doing the cadence changes and tones of alot of people i have meet over the years.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book was hard on me i have PTSD myself and i have recommended it so much i hope the other books come to audio soon
