Historia
The average song is three and a half minutes long; those three and a half minutes could lead to a slow blink, a glimpse of the past, or catapult the soul into heart-shattering nostalgia. At the height of my career, I had the life I wanted, the life I’d always envisioned. I’d found my tempo, my rhythm. Then I received a phone call that left me off key. You see, my favorite songs had a way of playing simultaneously. I was in love with one man’s beats and another’s lyrics. But when it came to the soundtrack of a life, how could anyone choose a favorite song?

Enjoyed this rom-com with hot grumpy guy and smart up-tight gal. Had enough steamy parts and good story line to keep it interesting and enjoyable. The male narrator was a little hard to get used to, but after a chapter or two, it didn't bother me anymore.

Historia
The long-awaited new novel from Margaret Atwood. The Year of the Flood is a dystopic masterpiece and a testament to her visionary power. The times and species have been changing at a rapid rate, and the social compact is wearing as thin as environmental stability. Adam One, the kindly leader of the God's Gardeners - a religion devoted to the melding of science and religion, as well as the preservation of all plant and animal life - has long predicted a natural disaster that will alter Earth as we know it. Now it has occurred, obliterating most human life.

Way too much back story and so slow for basically 10 of the 14 hours. The last 4 hours of the book were interesting and exciting but up until then it's basically back story. The narration was fine. I'm not sure that I will complete the trilogy though.

"page turner" adventure stories
Revisado: 05-30-22
The 1st book in this trilogy was included with my audible membership and I got hooked. There's non stop action and adventure, I really grew to like the characters, comma and it has the element of post apocalyptic other worlds Sci-fi that i enjoy indulging my imagination in.
The narrator really does a great job with an endless array of voices for the many characters in these books.

Historia
From the celebrated neurobiologist and primatologist, a landmark, genre-defining examination of human behavior, both good and bad, and an answer to the question: Why do we do the things we do? Sapolsky's storytelling concept is delightful but it also has a powerful intrinsic logic: He starts by looking at the factors that bear on a person's reaction in the precise moment a behavior occurs, and then hops back in time from there, in stages, ultimately ending up at the deep history of our species and its evolutionary legacy.

Historia
We are in a race between political and natural tipping points. Can we close coal-fired power plants fast enough to save the Greenland ice sheet and avoid catastrophic sea level rise? Can we raise water productivity fast enough to halt the depletion of aquifers and avoid water-driven food shortages? Can we cope with peak water and peak oil at the same time? These are some of the issues Lester R. Brown skillfully distills in World on the Edge.

I've read around 10 books on plant based diet and this is the best one yet. Thorough, evidenced based, and entertaining. Absolutely will recommend ( and have already). I've bought out in print too bc it's such an amazing resource.
