I would definitely follow this book with the book you wish your parent had read. This book is very informative and gives a lot of great examples. the book following helps you to apply what you have learned and catering more to the reader of an emotional level. This book has more of a logical theme. Very well written book and very beneficial to parents.

I would advise to read how to raise an emotionally intelligent child first and follow it with this book. I love this book so much. It really helps you to apply what you have learned to your kid rearing. I wish my parent would have read this book.
