Historia
Take a moment to look over your books about investing. Have any of them given you a successful method for making profits and reducing risks? Is there even one such book that has proven reliable over the years? Alas, most investors would say no. That's because so few investment books are classic in the true sense: For years investors keep buying the book, and they keep using the method to make the most of their opportunities.

Great way to learn about Elliot Wave.
Revisado: 01-20-16
This book is a great way to learn about Elliot Wave. This audiobook would be best supplemented with a print or digital version as there are a lot of references to figures/charts. Personally I don't find wave theory to be perfect but it does help supplement chart understanding of those who have an interest in Dow theory. The three stages of bull markets can become more apparent on the chart if you understand both Dow and wave theory. I did buy the print version of this book some years ago and was happy to find the audio version of this book as a review of the wave theory as I don't get as much time to physically read anymore I thought listening would be great. Upon beginning to listen even though I still have retained knowledge on the theory it was hard to follow without the print version nearby, so I'd reiterate that this audiobook is best supplemented with a visual form of this book.

America's national parks spring from an idea as radical as the Declaration of Independence: that the nation's most magnificent and sacred places should be preserved, not for royalty or the rich, but for everyone. In this evocative narrative, Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan delve into the history of the park idea.

Love the parks, great history of park creation.

Any additional comments?
Noticing some reviewers said that this book is boring and dull I would like to mention that this book is more of a history, development and experiences of those involved in the creation and protection of the parks. To me this book is great I have visited many of the most notorious parks Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier, Smoky etc. so when the book describes the experiences of those involved I can already picture the scenes and feel what the characters felt, perhaps that's why I failed to find it boring. For those that find the parks spiritual or something greater as I do they will perhaps feel themselves as of they were present during the story. Learning the history was interesting and makes me more grateful and appreciative for the parks and for those involved in the creation and protection. For those that love the parks or aspire to travel the parks and want to know the history I would recommend this book. If your looking for a travel guide this is not the book.

I was browsing audible one day for mindfulness related titles and came across some titles related to lucid dreaming. I didn't know what lucid dreaming was so curiously I read some book summaries and googled it. It seemed a brand new and interesting topic after looking for books on lucid dreaming I decided on this one. I decided that I would wait to review this book until I have practiced the principles outlined in the book as its a how-to-book and not just a story. If I would have rated it right away I would have also rated it a high score based on performance and story applied to the topic. So its been about 15 days since I've finished the book. Keep in mind I have had no practice in lucid dreaming, never tried lucid dreaming practices, or had prior knowledge on the subject. By casually following the principles/strategies in this book I immediately started having great dream recall just by being more conscious of trying to remember the dreams. He recommends a supplement for recall that wasn't necessary for me. I have had multiple lucid dreams which are really cool they don't last long and I'm sure they will last longer with more in practice. I seem to get lucky and automatically wake up before my last sleep cycle of the night at that time I practice the visualization practice of the red lotus mentioned on the way back to sleep which seems to really trigger these dreams. If you want a single book that works this book works.

Entertaining way to get through the Bible
Revisado: 09-24-14
Any additional comments?
This audio bible is great. If your looking to make it through the entire bible without getting bored buy this version. It is performed as if almost watching a movie but of course there are no visuals. There were some parts in the beginning where the characters over played their roles but you either get use to it or they get better as they go. It wasn't enough to be bothersome to me just makes you think overplayed for a second. Additionally this is more a version of the bible for making it through the entire book, if your looking to go to exact versus, chapters, books etc. its not organized in such a way to do so.

Eye opening story on HFT
Revisado: 09-24-14
Any additional comments?
Great story learned a great deal about true HFT. I'm sure a lot of failed retail traders will use this story as a scapegoat as why they failed or cant beat wall street. Truth is unless your a very short term trader swinging larger lot sizes the details in this story wont contribute to less or more success for most retail traders. The practices that HFT uses does seem a bit unfair but any time an inefficiency is left to be capitalized on someone will do it again the traders hit by this practices would be those with lot sizes too large to be filled by one then hit multiple exchanges at once. Unlike some books this story was easy to listen to and kept me interested, making it hard to stop listening.

A must read for all traders.
Revisado: 09-19-14
What made the experience of listening to Reminiscences of a Stock Operator the most enjoyable?
This book is great, most already know this is a must read for all traders. I read this book before but I enjoyed it so much that I wanted the audio version also since I don't get time to read but a lot of time to listen. I listen at work, so I listen for upwards of 5 to 6 hours at a time, several hours in I did seem to get a little bored, not sure if its cause I already knew the story or if its the performance of the narrator. Overall though I would definitely recommend this book.

Everyone wants to make more money. But many feel that to do so, they must sacrifice their lifestyle and work at a job they don't particularly like. In fact, if you're like most people, your life is likely filled with activities, obligations, and commitments that have nothing to do with your goals or your dreams, your life's mission, or the things that you love. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Great book
Revisado: 09-11-14
What made the experience of listening to Double Your Income Doing What You Love the most enjoyable?
At first when the author mentioned the law of attraction I was thinking oh great just another vague description of this law. I don't believe in the law of attraction in the spiritual or simplified form that is often preached I believe the law is more of a self fulfillment, however my views are another story. This book is great even if you don't believe in the law of attraction the author teaches principles of setting goals and working backwards a completely different approach than I've thus far heard. The author talks about setting goals at multiple levels so you can set goals easy to accomplish and outrageous goals on the same goal, essentially three targets on every goal which I believe is great since goal setting is difficult, do you go realistic or big, well apparently you can go both. Other key points are that working on your goals 1% of the time will get you to 100% I could go continue to go on with the great concepts brought up in this book, but the review would become ridiculously long. I would highly recommend this book as there are just many great concepts to improve your life and work towards your goals/dreams. The only negative in the performance is the chime in the story before every quote and he does recommend his mentor services towards the end of the book.

I really liked this book, personally I thought it would just go into the effects of other markets and the correlations that commodities, currencies, bonds, and stocks have on each other. He did not talk a lot about currency in the book, but he did actually go in depth into sector analysis which is really was beneficial. He also talks about leading, lagging, and coincident indicators which is also very informative.

I hardly believe that this book considered the key point of a MBA educatuon so its a little misleading, but he does present some good business information and key points worth hearing. The first chapter was not necessary if I listen again I will just skip it. The first chapter is about an hr of listening to why a MBA isn't necessary and doesn't make financial sense for most ppl unless you plan on working for a investment bank or prestigious institution.

Good story
Revisado: 03-21-14
Any additional comments?
The story is good, it helps you understand the thoughts and progressions one goes through while developing a profitable market strategy. Although I feel he did do good selecting his stocks, I would say that luck did play a good part as they say when he had a hunch he bet a bunch as opposed to todays recommendations of risk management, so it would be hard to reproduce similar results unless your willing to throw the majority of you funds in just a few positions. Worth the listen still.
