I disliked a veterinary hospital using an book platform to solicit business. This is so tacky.

Historia
We already rely on science to tell us what to eat, when to exercise, and how long to sleep. Why not use science to help us improve our relationships? In this revolutionary book, psychiatrist and neuroscientist Dr. Amir Levine and Rachel Heller scientifically explain why some people seem to navigate relationships effortlessly, while others struggle.

Problematic and biased
Revisado: 09-09-23
The advice in this book is problematic and questionable at best. The authors incorporate overt manipulation tactics in attempts to support their purported claims in the case studies they offer in chapter 11. Specifically, the advice they provide is biased and not based on evidence but assumptions. These assumptions essentially are logical fallacies that ultimately weaken the arguments and points they are trying to make.
The information presented is a valiant attempt to address core relationships issues. One good thing in this book is the loose skeleton outline for psychological classifications, but it’s very limited, basic and problematic. Build on the outline, yourself.

Wonderfully presented and packed with insight
Revisado: 08-30-23
This is an amazing presentation of cultural anthropology. Jared Diamond’s knowledge base is vast and he shares this knowledge quite unpretentiously. Also, well presented by the narrator. It is a lot of information, but delivered in a understandable way.

Wonderful literary creations
Revisado: 05-09-23
These two books are classically wonderful literary creations centered on human nature from moral, theological and social perspectives. 275 years after initial publications, Voltaire’s focus on the virtuous soul resonates so strongly in today’s void and lack of such.

Historia
The 10 enlightening (and often humorous) lectures of Medieval Myths and Mysteries will show you how far from the “dark” times of legend these centuries were. Uncover the facts about the Knights Templar. Reveal the truth behind the tales of legendary creatures like the Questing Beast and the unicorn. Trace the events of the Black Death and the ways it altered the world in its wake, and much more. With Professor Armstrong, you will dig deep into the ways that later generations reshaped the narrative of the medieval years and perpetuated the myths.

Great professional recap
Revisado: 06-11-22
The author’s own voice should’ve been used for narration throughout this book and not just the last dwindling minutes. The narration lacked connection to the material.
The book feels like it lacks a cohesive direction at times, but it is packed with great general overview and insight into the movie industry. More minutia and details would’ve been preferable concerning how movie deals are made and also introspective analysis in addition to owning up on the authors part for his decisions.
The author did a great job presenting a fair, balanced and well-rounded recap of his life. Deeper personal revelations from Me. Medavoy would have made this an overall 5 star Story Review.

Historia
This book describes a technique developed and refined by the authors, all of them young actors, in their work with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet, actor W. H. Macy, and director Gregory Mosher. A Practical Handbook for the Actor is written for any actor who has ever experienced the frustrations of acting classes that lacked clarity and objectivity, and that failed to provide a dependable set of tools.

Informative
Revisado: 04-24-22
A solid up-to-date perspective on acting for theater. The perspective boils down the actors job to the technical aspects, but lacks a cohesive outline structuring and in-depth examples, which ultimately feels like a meandering outcome. All in all a skeleton structure worth the listen.
