Historia
Ronnie Spector’s first collaboration with producer Phil Spector, “Be My Baby,” stunned the world and shot girl group the Ronettes to stardom. No one could sing as clearly, as emotively as Ronnie. But her voice was soon drowned out in Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound, and lost in Ronnie and Phil’s ensuing romance and marriage. Ronnie had to fight tooth and nail to wrest back control of her life, her music, and her legacy. And while she regained her footing, Ronnie found herself recording with Stevie Van Zandt, partying with David Bowie, and touring with Bruce Springsteen.

Rosie Perez?
Revisado: 03-27-24
She would not be my first pick and there were a few cringy times throughout her narration but still a decent win overall. The story and the way it is written make up for the several times I asked, wait, why her? But all those times are minor in this major story of triumph, faith and talent that was the great Ronnie Spector. And that filthy horrible little man never deserved a minute of her attention, obvs

Highly recommend this book. It is well written, superbly narrated but moreover a really important and moving story of love, friendship and faith. Please listen, it’s a message we should all be reminded of often, at least I think so. Thank you for this

Historia
On the night of the school prom, a young teacher is found dead in the Thames in a drug-related accident. It seems - at first - to be another sign that Cherringham High is spiralling out of control. The new head however is convinced that the teacher's death is suspicious and quietly calls in Sarah Edwards. With her one-time detective partner, Jack Brennan, back in America, Sarah is at first reluctant to take on the case. But when she does get involved, it soon becomes clear that the tragic accident might really be a case of murder - and even Sarah herself could be in danger.

Historia
Retired publisher Susan Ryeland is living the good life. She is running a small hotel on a Greek island with her long-term boyfriend Andreas. It should be everything she's always wanted. But is it? She's exhausted with the responsibilities of making everything work on an island where nothing ever does, and truth be told, she's beginning to miss London. And then the Trehearnes come to stay. The strange story they tell about an unfortunate murder that took place on the same day and in the same hotel in which their daughter was married fascinates Susan and piques her editor's instincts.

Historia
Beth Montgomery seems to have the perfect life: a beautiful house in the hills above Los Angeles, a handsome, ambitious husband, and plans of starting a family. So it doesn't occur to her to worry when the news breaks of a quadruple homicide across town, a botched drug deal that leaves an undercover officer among the dead. Beth certainly would never think to tie the murders to the sudden reappearance in her life of wild, sexy Cassie Ogilvy, the estranged best friend she hasn't seen since they were college roommates.

..should you give this piece of middle school garbage a listen. I feel bad for the narrators who seem to be trying as hard as one can with words that were clearly written by a drunk 12 year old. Terrible
I made it about two hours I’m hoping it might miraculously get ok, but no.

Can’t think of anything worse than this book
Revisado: 03-15-22
And I’ve listened to hundreds. The narrators should be ashamed of even taking this job. Stupid, unrealistic and completely unlivable characters with a ridiculous plot that has me so mad of the time I wasted getting 2/3 through, I kept hoping it would get better but the opposite is true. Don’t believe the boys that have good reviews if this dribble. Stupid, bad, stupid book. 🤮
