This story could have been told in about a 3 hour book. Redundant and just plan poor character development. I had heard good things about this series but I will not waste any more time or $ on more books like this.

One of my favorite Gabriel Allon books ....

Loved the inclusion of recent political events and characters. It is Silva’s ability to weave fact, fiction and a great whodunnit together that makes his books so enjoyable. Combine this with the outstanding narration by Guidall, and should just kiss goodbye any chance you had of getting work finished for the next 20+ hours.

Didn't know what I didn't know!

I grew up during this period with a father that was an NCO in the Marines. This book explains much of what I heard and put the pieces in place, finally. We lost cousins, friends to a war that arrogant intellectuals failed to prosecute and win. After 8 years of a similar presidency, the stakes are even higher for the world. Thank God for McMasters and Trump. Win this one guys--make the world safe for my children!
