Historia
The Shōbōgenzō is the recognized spiritual masterpiece by the 13th- century Japanese Sōtō Zen Master Eihei Dōgen. It is comprised of discourses that he gave to his disciples, in person or in writing, at various times between 1231 and his death 22 years later at age 53. These discourses cover a wide range of topics pertinent to those in monastic life, though often also relevant to those training in lay life.

best Buddhist teaching so far
Revisado: 01-18-23
straight forward no frills, but beautiful delivery of the path and how to follow it (beginners opinion). no adaptations for how the "modern" mind requires information to be supplied in a palatable and amenable form. this is a history lesson to boot... sad to have finished

Historia
For modern science, the transitional states of consciousness lie at the forefront of research in many fields. For a Buddhist practitioner, these same states present crucial opportunities to explore and transform consciousness itself. This book is the account of a historic dialogue between leading Western scientists and the Dalai Lama of Tibet. Revolving around three key moments of consciousness - sleep, dreams, and death - the conversations recorded here are both engrossing and highly listenable.

Unlike any other book I have read
Revisado: 07-14-18
Enthralling overall. For someone who has journey’d through a near death experience and the wonderful and terrifying aftermath this book has offered some possible explanations for some of the experiences and post recovery feelings and thoughts. The book offers up many more questions than answers, however listening to a multidisciplinary panel of questions and opinions on subjects of consciousness and death has been invaluable compared with one alternative of picking myself up and dusting myself off. This book provokes thought and exploration

Historia
It is difficult to find another soldier's story to equal Captain Darrell Watt's in terms of time spent on the field of battle and challenges faced. Even by the lofty standards of the SAS and Special Forces, one has to look far to find anyone who can match his record of resilience and valor in the face of such daunting odds and with resources so paltry. In the fight, he showed himself to be a military maestro. After 12 years in the cauldron of war, his cause slipped from beneath him, and Rhodesia gave way to Zimbabwe.

Inspirational story of what can be achieved by individuals and small teams against the odds.

I would have preferred a less posturing performance however the story was astounding. Bravery, discipline, resilience and true love of country which does not necessitate hate of others. A story for us, our children and for all country leaders.
