A captivating story, with many spur of the moment choices and decisions made that make remarkable things happen.

It is a remarkable story, of remarkable men told in a way that we get to know so many individual people during the story, but at the same time we get to understand the big picture of what was going on during the conflict in the Philippines.  Since this audiobook is an abridged version, I did miss the expanded parts of the story that you find when you read the uunabridged book.
