Arms sales, trade practices, side-deals, threre is a lot going on in the world that isn't reported and is designed to harm America. This book will open your eyes to what you already thought might be going on with details and specifics that legitimize his account.

Excellent examples of hipocrisy of famous people

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 11-22-05

This books is a must read if you want to know the truth about what many high profile people say versus what they do. For example, one might not know that the environmentally correct Kennedys own oil companies, and put them in tax sheltered trusts, avoiding the taxes they say we don't pay enough of. Michael Moore, Barbara Streisand, a long list of big names and how they don't do what they tell us to do. The information is very good, and shows the hypocrisy of those who would presume to be morally superior.

Author first excuses himself for profiteering

Total
1 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 10-24-05

Then he goes forward with it. Within the first 200 words, you will realize that this is just another hatchet job on the right, and soft-soap for the left. He blames attacks on Clinton for his ineffectiveness. He blames Reagan for not retaliating in Beiruit, and then Bush 41 for leaving Saddam in power. Anybody with any current event experience over the past 15 years will not waste their time after the first five minutes. The viewpoints in this book are "out there". If you thought Clinton was a great president, you will probably love the validation that will doubtless come in this book.

The World Is Flat Audiolibro Por Thomas L. Friedman arte de portada

Good information on globalization

Total
3 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 10-24-05

This is mostly about supply chains and outsourcing. The author is so enamored with Bangalor, India, you will hear the city's name a thousand times. He also has put some naive political opinion in the last chapter. This is a good bit of post-cold war information about globalization and it's good and bad consequences. The information is worth the money. The political opinion is very brief thankfully.

Liberalism is a Mental Disorder Audiolibro Por Michael Savage arte de portada

Don't let the title make you pass it by

Total
4 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 09-26-05

If you are looking for a realistic view of where we are today, this is the book for you. Although the author and the title are both quite inflammatory, the book itself is actually a good read. His radio show turns me off because of his screaming and intolerance of stupidity and anybody that doesn't agree with what he has to say. I read this book because I wanted to hear what his mind would have to say alone. It is a good historical perspective on life and where we are in this country after 60 years of liberalism. If you are a liberal you will not like this book, if you are a conservative he has a few things that will tick you off, but if you are just looking for a pretty good "State of the Union", this is it.

Not balanced, still entertaining

Total
2 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 08-03-05

You don't get what the title implies, but Al has found an entertaining way to poke fun at the right by identifying some tepid misstatements by people on the right and pontificate on them endlessly. Mostly he just rants against people who he perceives to have done him wrong. He must hate Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter. I have read both Coulter and Franken, and Coulter is by far more founded in history, truth and facts. If you're left leaning and want to feel good about yourself this is a good read. If you're looking for what the title implies, look elsewhere.

Content fails the title, but has good points

While this book is not bad, it's far from being deep. This is a great primer for a new Christian, or for a backslider rethinking their life. This is "milk" not "meat". This book is great for someone wanting to understand Christians, their failings, and why Christians are the best and worse arguments for Christianity. If you are already a seasoned Christian, you won't find much new here.
