I love Clare Ashton's books as they are heartfelt, intelligent, moving. I loved Meeting Millie and I wouldn't have thought that the follow-up could be even better, but it was. It was all of the above, the intelligent writing, the wonderful twisting plot, but also laughing so hard I cried moments - even in the middle of, or just after the saddest parts. The main characters are perfect, the supporting friends and family are wonderful. Absolutely brilliant.

The narrator is the right choice, Kate's voice is just as I would imagine it.

As good as I remembered

I read this in book form and I really enjoyed it, but I needed enough time to pass to want a reread in the form of this audio.
It's dark holding up a mirror to humanity, yet manages to end on an optimistic view. I liked it very much.

The has been a favourite of mine I read several times. I'm so happy that it's finally out as an audiobook. I loved every minute of it, laughed out loud at the many funny parts and had tears in my eyes at the happy moments.

Very enjoyable

I decided to listen again to this book when I realized that the third and last book of the series had become available.
I forgot most details of the Princess of Dorsa and I wanted to refresh my memory before going on.
I couldn't stop listening. I found all kind of excuses to listen on. Both story and narration are outstanding - exactly as I've learned to expect from Eliza Andrews.

I should have known

I should have known that a story of Eliza Andrews is not what you expect. It's not about zombies (thankfully as I'm really not interested on them) but more how people deal with an end-of-the-world situation.
I'm sure it was prompted by the pandemic, a kind of what if scenario. Funny at first, dark later on.
Very good and very well narrated (as always).

Young Adult story with depth

I absolutely loved this story with great character development, wonderful secondary characters and emotions far more than the romantic kind.
The narrator was wonderful. Highly recommended!

Wonderful and funny

I did remember I liked this book very much, but I forgot how funny it was.
I did remember using the book as a reference guide during my first (and only) visit to London, discovering lovely places not in most guide books.
I haven't mentioned yet the very likable characters, wonderful feelings the story awakes in me and the perfect narration. (I was sure I wasn't going like the narrator, but for this book she was perfect.)
Very highly recommended for anyone wanting to be cheered up, anybody liking British romcom and anybody wanting a good time.

I'm so glad that there's a new Kate Martinelli story after all these years, it's been wonderful to catch up with all the characters.
I hope there will be a chance to read about them again.
I listened to the whole series again before starting this one and I really enjoyed it. It was different and much more personal than the earlier ones.
The narrator was superb - again.
