About half way through, the narrator abandons all character specific accents with the exception of Jaime. Bree loses her American accent around part 4, Roger doesn't sound Scottish, and for some crazy reason, all of the staff at the Boston hospital sound like they're British

I love Charlaine Harris but who ever was narrating the first story was aweful! I couldn't stomach it and stopped listening after 2 minutes.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
YES. WHERE THE HELL IS JOHANNA PARKER??!!!

Omg painful to listen to. The author labors on with annoying tangents. I actively hated the main character narrating the book after 15 minutes. Didn't get past the 1st chapter.
