Historia
In April 1942, Lale Sokolov, a Slovakian Jew, is forcibly transported to the concentration camps at Auschwitz-Birkenau. When his captors discover that he speaks several languages, he is put to work as a Tätowierer (German for tattooist), tasked with permanently marking his fellow prisoners. Imprisoned for more than two and a half years, Lale witnesses horrific atrocities and barbarism - but also incredible acts of bravery and compassion. Risking his own life, he uses his position to exchange jewels and money from murdered Jews for food to keep his fellow prisoners alive.

Historical privilege to hear this story!

This story should remind all what hate can do and how powerful it is! Don't demonize people for their differences and choices

Historia
Most debutantes dream of finding husbands. Lady Pandora Ravenel has different plans. The ambitious young beauty would much rather stay at home and plot out her new board game business than take part in the London Season. But one night at a glittering society ball, she's ensnared in a scandal with a wickedly handsome stranger.

Really enjoyed the first 2 books of the series. Love the narrator but the second half of the story moves quickly and isn't as good as the other books.

Historia
As a young duke, all Nathaniel wants is to be left alone. So when he meets Charlotte, an outspoken American heiress, he is suspicious of her indifference. Too many women have sought - and failed - to catch him. However, Charlotte is unimpressed by his title. She has no interest in English dukes. All she wants is to leave dreary England and travel to the sunny sands of Egypt to see the grand pyramids. Unfortunately, a debutante seeking to entrap Nathaniel gets murdered.

Narrator rushed the tempo and pace of the narration and often felt like it was said in one breath. However the story was very enjoyable with twists and turns

But when a storm keeps the others from arriving on time, Charlotte decides to stop living in fear and pursue the man she has desired and loved her entire life.

Least favorite of the first four books
Revisado: 04-06-19
Extremely slow start to the story . The first 10 chapters are the same two days of repeated intimacy. Story picks up and accelerates around chapter 18. I enjoyed the first three books much more

Historia
Rohan Kilburn, the Duke of Warrington, has quite a reputation. He's "The Beast" - a debauched rake whose many exploits echo in the countryside surrounding his ancient familial castle. In truth, he's devoted his life to the Inferno Club, swearing off love for duty in an attempt to thwart a tragic family curse. Beautiful spitfire Kate Madsen wants nothing to do with "The Beast" after she is mistakenly abducted by smugglers and delivered into his fearsome clutches.
