Wonderful!
Revisado: 01-17-22
I listened to this book because it was recommended to me by the home schoong program I am using for my son. I told my husband about it so we could both be on the same page with our child's schooling. I had no idea it could improve an already awesome marriage! We are lucky enough to have the same primary, secondary, and tertiary love languages ☺, but this book helped us better understand our marriage and how to continue to improve it.

From the United States Memory Championship to deep within the author's own mind, this is an electrifying work of journalism that reminds us that, in every way that matters, we are the sum of our memories.

Little Women itself “has been read as a romance or as a quest, or both. It has been read as a family drama that validates virtue over wealth.” Little Women has been read “as a means of escaping that life by women who knew its gender constraints only too well.” Alcott “combines many conventions of the sentimental novel with crucial ingredients of Romantic children's fiction, creating a new form of which Little Women is a unique model.”

Wonderful story but poor narrative quality
Revisado: 08-26-21
I love the little lessons learned in each storyand feel this is a book everyone should read. How ever the narrative had a lot of glickes in it and would repeat things already read. Alos, they really should have chosen an American to narrate this American novel, rather than a British narrator.

Hard to stay focused
Revisado: 05-29-20
I read this book in high school and didn't like it. so I decided to try again, since I have found many books that I didn't like in high school that I enjoy now. The narrator was pretty terrible. It is monotone and unfeeling which made it hard to focus and follow the book.

This is a very tragic story and the performance brings to life some very horrifying details that might be hard for young readers to hear. But it is important to keep in mind the story on forgiveness and the blessings of God in our lives.

Very thought provoking
Revisado: 12-20-19
There are a lot of interesting concepts to think about in this book. Especially about how mentally handicapped people are treated. The only down side to the book is that there is a lot of sexual content, more than is really necessary for the progression of the story.

Intense
Revisado: 08-15-19
Sometimes the performance is a bit much, but it really adds to the intensity of the story. I always thought this was a children's book, I would consider it more of a teenage book with the violence and language.
