Unfortunately, her first move lands her in handcuffs for murder. Oops. But Raisa won’t let a little setback stop her. With a new job and her deathbed promise to her sister on the line, she sets out to convince Gideon Stern, bossy werewolf and ex-cop, to quit ghosting her and join forces. Together, they’ll hunt down their common adversary and put an end to her dangerous schemes, once and for all.

I couldn't put this book down! It was both funny and captivating, keeping me entertained from start to finish. I love stories about strong, intelligent women, and this book delivered that in every way. The characters felt real, relatable, and inspiring. It’s a fantastic read for anyone who appreciates a mix of wit, strength, and humor.

Historia
In Strangers in Their Own Land, the renowned sociologist Arlie Hochschild embarks on a thought-provoking journey from her liberal hometown of Berkeley, California, deep into Louisiana bayou country - a stronghold of the conservative right. As she gets to know people who strongly oppose many of the ideas she famously champions, Hochschild nevertheless finds common ground and quickly warms to the people she meets.

Any additional comments?
This is a must read! Strangers in Their Own Land analysis of American politics is overdue. Dr. Hochschild’s respectful brings to life stories of real people struggling to make a living in a world which seems to be against them. She analytically breaks down the emotional terrain of politics in the Louisiana bayou by examining the role of feelings in politics.
