Everything about this book I appreciate! I know that I will listen to it again just because of the information he presents and the effects he lists to peoples lives. I appreciate he outlines his own struggles as well. Superbly written. Can’t recommend it enough!

Historia
Eve is a bold, unprecedented exploration of the creation narrative, true to the original texts and centuries of scholarship - yet with breathtaking discoveries that challenge traditional misconceptions about who we are and how we're made. As The Shack awakened listeners to a personal, nonreligious understanding of God, Eve will free us from faulty interpretations that have compromised human relationships since the Garden of Eden.

My review of Eve - Confronting Assumptions
Revisado: 06-30-22
I gave it 5 stars even though it was a struggle to get through, the struggle was mine, not the fault of the story, or the narrator. It forced me to face some things I had long believed but i do not believe are true anymore and that was my difficulty. If you want to be challenged please read this book.

Historia
Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

Wow! Intense! Great Listen!
Revisado: 06-22-19
Great narration by Will Patton! I love his voice, he is an excellent actor and he brings those talents to this story! The story is absolutely as creepy both in implication and overtly as The Shining! Bit of a spoiler alert!! The scene involving the small child got me, for hours after I stopped listening I was thinking about that scene wondering if the child was dead or if he was alive but would soon be dead, and I couldn’t decide if that wasn’t the point. How it haunted Danny, I haven’t gotten through the whole book (I have to listen in small chunks). This type of lingering thought both in the mind of the character and in my mind is a sign of a great book. IT did me much the same way, to the point I could smell the popcorn when Ben stumbled upon Pennywise (as a mummy). I had to close it and walk away for a bit lol. This book has the same qualities, I hope you enjoy it as I am!

After a year of fighting across three different lands, Dante and Blays have finally brought Gladdic to justice - and in the process, they've unleashed a horror beyond all reckoning. The enemy is known as the White Lich. He is ancient. He is immensely powerful. And Gladdic believes he will soon enslave all of Tanar Atain. Their only chance to defeat him is to strike fast, before the lich has regained his power. But attacking him directly would be suicide.

Revisado: 03-29-19
I hope the author and narrator read this. My son introduced me to the first trilogy and I have been hooked since! I have already purchased the 5th book and will start it immediately. I just want to thank you for these books I love everything about them!! The narrator is awesome as well and really sells the story! I am dreading completing the next book because there isn’t another one as of yet. Just wanted to say I appreciate these books and the narrator a lot I have laughed out loud and held my breath in suspense! Thank you Mr. Robertson and Mr. Reynolds you are a great team! By the way does anyone else see “the dread pirate Robert “ in your head (minus the mask of course) when you picture Blays?

Dante and Blays have forced Gladdic from the Collen Basin. But the victory might be only the first battle in a much larger war. With the land on the brink of starvation and politically fractured, Dante and Blays scramble to secure Collen's food, borders, and allies. Before their work is done, rumor arrives from Mallon. The enemy is mustering for another attack. Even if Collen can weather the coming storm, there's no guarantee their independence will last out the year.

Great Story and Story Telling!
Revisado: 12-08-17
I loved this book and the narrator did an excellent job as well. I love the complexities of society not just a shoot'em up although there is a lot of action. I didn't know anything about this series until I caught a SYFY episode of the Expanse. I was immediately hooked bought the series and then started on the book series.

Great Listen!
Revisado: 03-04-16
Great narration, it helped bring the book to life and his style helped illuminate some of the more subtle humor. He even did a great job with sarcasm! I laughed many times. As for the more suspenseful aspects he really had me as well. holding my breath a few times.
The book was great! I really enjoyed the plot twists and thought what he did with this sequel to "Summer of Night" to be really good. It really provoked thoughts in me that were terrifying to dwell on, I don't want to go into detail for fear of ruining that for you. Needless to say, it is a well written ghost story, that is not mindless gore / slasher, but thought provoking and more "mentally" scary than anything I have read in a long time.

Really liked it! It is a great story, held me to the end! Like Stephen King's IT, but no clowns and just in the sense that it's kids versus Evil. The author did a really great job. I liked the narration too. Overall very good, already purchased the sequel.
