I loved the interplay between Alexander Gregory and the French Police officer. Very touching relationship being rolled out and developed with his mentor. Great story lines with rich layers of differing relationships makes the protagonist a 3D personality.
Great to have been given an insight into his vulnerabilities so that we can work our minds around figuring out the effect of each new character in the upcoming stories.
I am really excited to see what LJ Ross has for us next.
If she keeps this up she is going to make heself a classic.

LJ Ross has created a new character with this series that we immediately care about, The story line was engrossing, charater development was sympathetic and the ending completely unexpected. I hope there will be many more of each series and perhaps DCI Ryan and Alexander Gregory together in a future book.

It was a tough start to listening due to all of what seemed like gratuitous violence. As the story continued the complex plot made it clear why the “frenzy” of killings was necessary to understand the mental state of the killer.
The main characters are like neighbours by now. The new characters cleanly fill in the spaces necessary to the plot line.
This turned out to be a great mind teaser and very enjoyable.

yes I have. It was as good as the others. An easy voice to listen to, crisp and clear pronunciation.
