This story moves so well. A real home spun flavor on this book from the King. Although short, the characters have enough substance to carry a whole series or atleast a thick novel.

The authentic as hell narration shoots the material into the stratosphere. Double A plus.

Fun at times!!

I understand the popularity of the book. Fun premise, well written, and solid characters. The story quickly takes shape and has some nice action to it. Around halfway through though, I feel like it bogs down in its own willy nilly sense of humor and the story loses momentum. Not sure what to think.

Gives New Meaning to Heartfelt.

Every page makes you feel something. I'm not one to read books that make me feel bored. If a book leaves me feeling lukewarm, I often times just set it down. I even put down good books soemtimes. This Crapalachia story never even gave me a chance to THINK about setting it down.

Plus the narration was perfect. Matched the tone so well. Read with real emotion.

Perfectly written.

Every word in the book paints a cinematic image. It all flows so easily. The Elementals has a natural, conversational tone. Engaging from start to finish with no empty spots. I can't recommend this book enough. The narrator helps things along as well, with just enough variance in his voice to allow each and every character to come alive without making it a cartoonish performance. Bravo!!!

Just an absolutely classic novel. There's not a sentence that isn't enthralling. A family history told in the best and most unique way. All parts relevant to the core story. Entertaining, vivid, and assuring.

Good ol Larry.

Good character study. An in depth look at several different personalities and what they represent. Entertaining and well written. However, each character seems to lack dimension. For instance, Larry seems near perfect. Isabelle is skin deep. Grey is kind but simple. Real folks are a tad more complicated. Often times just one human could take on all the traits mentioned above. For the purpose of telling the story however, it works fine. I'd recommend it.

Moments of Perfection.

The Killer Next Door is one of those strange books that after having read the title, you expect a basic and somewhat typical mystery type book. The story actually runs fairly deep and has loads of good character back story. It's also creepy and disgusting. There are a few moments where the eeriness of the whole book is penetrating and powerfully written. Otherwise it's just solid.

My First Asimov!!

A friend bought me this as a gift for being in his wedding. It has no dull spots. It's subtly intriguing the entire time. Sci fi with that touch of Chandler that I needed. Scwhooo Daddy
