This was a fantastic Captain Hook retelling! James’ story is fast-paced with a fresh, compelling take on how Hook came to be.
I listened to the audiobook, and the duet narration was spot on! James & Jacci completely transport you into this world. James’ gritty voice and accent bring all the pirate vibes, while Jacci’s ability to give each character a unique twist is truly impressive.
And that cliffhanger? It got me good—I’ll definitely be diving into Book 2!

This arrangement, though, binds her to Thorne as his new, doting wife. While Paesha is determined to keep this role as wife in name alone, the slow-burn romance tension builds perfectly throughout the book. If you enjoy audiobooks, you won’t want to miss this one! Nevermore is one of the best romantasy audiobook duets I’ve ever listened to. Jacci Prior’s incredible range not only brings Paesha to life but also perfectly captures the found family around her. In moments of vulnerability, desperation, heartbreak, or joy, her performance is absolutely flawless, heightening every emotion.

Gabriel Michael’s portrayal of Thorne—balancing velvety roughness with quiet intensity—is masterful, while his playful take on Archie is just as captivating. His performance instantly draws you into the story, making every scene feel immersive.
But what truly sets this audiobook apart is the stunning musical score that enhances the already flawless duet performances. I highly, highly recommend it!

I loved every moment of Nevermore and can’t wait for Evermore to heal the slump the shock of that ending left me in.

Wren and Singard's dynamic is absolute perfection-their chemistry is a deliciously volatile mix of tension, passion, and raw emotion. A true enemies-to-lovers-to-enemies steamy fantasy! Jacci Prior and James Cavenaugh bring this dynamic to life with stunning duet narration, making every moment feel raw and immersive.

The worldbuilding is lush, the action relentless, and the betrayals cut deep. And that ending?! Erin Mainord is cruel in the best way possible.

If you thought the first book was intense, this one will ruin you—in the best way. An absolute must-listen for fans of dark, enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance. Unforgettable, addictive, and utterly devastating. I’m desperate for book three!

Great narration!!

LJ Andrews has crafted an utterly immersive world filled with political intrigue, heart-stopping romance, ancient curses, powerful magic, and jaw-dropping betrayals. Every twist kept me on edge, and the writing is nothing short of mesmerizing! This is the kind of book that grabs hold of you and doesn’t let go—you’ll devour it in one sitting and immediately crave more.

The audiobook fits the story so well, it felt like you could really get to know the characters! The narrators did fantastic bringing the cultural fantasy elements to life in this book and really helped to develop this rich world LJ wrote. Definitely recommend if you like audiobooks

If you love books like Spark of the Everflame, From Blood and Ash, or ACOTAR, this series is an absolute must-read!

🤌 Narration is PERFECT

Just take all the stars!! This book shot straight to the top of my favorites list—it's an absolute addiction! The banter? Hilarious. The pacing? Fast. The spice? Oh, it’s hot hot spicy! I know I will be rereading/relistening to this one in the future!

I don’t usually reach for contemporary romance, but this cat-and-mouse dark romance had me completely hooked, keeping me up way past my bedtime. I couldn’t turn the pages (or hit ‘play’) fast enough!

🎧 And the audiobook? Perfection. Jacob Morgan and Elana Wolfe bring these characters to life flawlessly—I’ll be hunting down more of their narrations!

That said, this book does explore dark themes, so be sure to check those trigger warnings before diving in. But if you love dark romance with razor-sharp wit, sizzling chemistry, and gripping action, this is the book for you!

The narration!! I dare you to find a better Ace and Harlow…Brandon and Jacci’s performance was *chefs kiss* good. The story is a great dark and twisted retelling of Joker and Harley - if you love the comics, this is, you’ll love this take on it!

Cannot get enough!

The storyline is wonderfully unique and captivating - Rhyan’s story is heartbreaking but inspiring at the same time. This novella gives great insight to the events that happened prior to book 1 while still giving you more character depth to Rhyan.

The narration is perfect - it’s exactly how I imaged the MMC to sound.

Absolutely incredible! Son of the Drowned Empire is a wonderfully unique fantasy centered around a rich complex male main character that immediately steals your heart. Rhyan’s devastating story is one of manipulation and trauma but also unbelievable strength and bravery. Frankie has a way of storytelling that draws you in so deeply that when hardship occurs, your heart is breaking more and more with each chapter. The narration was perfect and brought this story to life. Every hard moment of Rhyan’s story was felt that much more with this performance!

Refreshingly unique world brimming with political intrigue, forbidden powers, and intense yearning! The narration is spot on, gripping you with all the tension that the FMC faces throughout all the challenges she faces! Absolutely loved the storytelling and voices for each character!
