Historia
To outsiders, Jessica Berger Gross's childhood - growing up in a "nice" Jewish family in middle class Long Island - seemed as wholesomely American as any other. But behind closed doors, Jessica suffered years of physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her father, whose mood would veer unexpectedly from loving to violent. At the age of 28, still reeling from the trauma but emotionally dependent on her dysfunctional family, Jessica made the anguished decision to cut ties with them entirely.

Authentic

It’s sad that there’s high levels of Ignorance even on this comment section (especially “jay jay”’s comment simply made my skin crawl).
In response to his attempt to minimize violence:
Providing a roof & feeding children are kind of a basic when you decide to have children. Children did not ask to come into this world & do not “owe” their parents. Being a parent is a privilege. Yet these basics (food & shelter) are used to justify all kinds of abuse & judge & sadly label a child.
Some of the cringeworthy comments calling the author a “spoiled brat”: This is called GASLIGHTING. It’s repulsive to see..
Minimizing & Invalidating Abuse is never okay.

>Dear Author,
Thank you for sharing. Writing this book couldn’t have been easy. It takes a lot of courage, especially when there are people that will always minimize the abuse & judge you for respecting yourself.
I’m definately it’s very helpful & spreads awareness.

BORING !!
Revisado: 04-11-25
This book is Nothing like the Foxworth’s, Casteel’s, Ruby Series, nor My Sweet Audrina. If Andrew Neiderman is using V.C. Andrew’s name, then at the very least copy the writing style, cliff hangers & excitements.
Attention ANDREW NEIDERMAN (Ghost Writer hiding behind V.C. Andrew’s name).
-At least take a break, re-listen to her original works & take some time to reflect. These recent books are so Monotonous & Dull that it is feeling like Exploitation.
I normally don’t write negative reviews, but if I just got fished 🎣 over the last 9 books by Andrew Neiderman, clearly it’s time to be honest. What a waste of so much money. Cringe!! Each time I hope for something similar to VC Andrew’s work only to be DISAPPOINTED. I wish he would at least make the effort as he did earlier. At this point he seems to be leveraging the name as much as possible just to make money. The quality has deteriorated beyond tolerance.
Quantity doesn’t mean anything when there is no quality.
I’m done. ✅

Women can be heroic. Women can be horrific. We run the gamut, just like men. Hosted by Lavetta Cannon and Miriam Lipner-Brienik, Notorious Women is a weekly comedy podcast about some of history's most notorious women. We set out to round out women's lives, to make the experience of being a woman as interesting and as complicated as it is in reality. We are not historians, but we are interested in educating ourselves, others, and be funny doing it! We thrive on expanding what it means to be a woman, and on sharing the stories of remarkable women's lives. To all womanists — yes, that's a term ...

Cheesy
Revisado: 02-24-25
Cheesy & uninteresting.. infact, boring.
I wouldn’t recommend it. There’s simply too much beating around the bush & unnecessary conversation that have nothing to do with the title. It’s UNSTRUCTURED & certainly not entertaining.

Historia
Awe and exhilaration—along with heartbreak and mordant wit—abound in Lolita, which tells the story of the aging Humbert Humbert's obsession for the nymphet Dolores Haze. Lolita is also the story of a hypercivilized European colliding with the cheerful barbarism of postwar America.

Into the mind of an Obsessive Sociopathic PEDOPHILE..
Revisado: 02-18-25
A deep look into the mind of an Obsessive Sociopathic PEDOPHILE. It’s horrific, disgusting & cringeworthy, yet somewhat interesting. The movies barely touch the surface of just how sick he is. Poor Lolita was completely cornered & trapped. I suspect she had either Histrionic Personality Disorder perhaps, or simply Stockholm Syndrome. Either way, she had a “fawn” response. It’s very sad as she’s a vulnerable target. It’s hard to tell what’s actually going on in her mind as the entire book is biased & through his sick lens. He seems to see women as objects & less than actually human. Every action of hers is judged & seen in a sexual way. It’s cringey, yet strange as it’s described so poetically. It’s creepy how he refers to himself in third party to disconnect himself from his crimes. He constantly justifies himself, has no remorse whatsoever & learns nothing. Humbert’s character doesn’t grow, nor evolve into a better person. I’m glad however that Lolita finally escapes.

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

I Love Edward’s POV!! 🥰🥰
Revisado: 07-16-21
Thank you 🙏 to SM for this. I absolutely am more in love with Edward after hearing his POV. What a beautiful character.
However, I wish there were other voices, some music, & most of all; No one would’ve been better at narrating than ROBERT PATTINSON.
This narrator is good, but sounds a lot older than 17. He’s also a little monotonous. I find myself imagining Robert’s voice to get through it. The female voices sound like horror movie monsters & made me cringe a bit.
However, I’m still gonna give this five stars as the story & depth of the characters are amazing.
