Absolutely brilliant
Revisado: 03-17-22
Loved every second of it and just couldn't stop listening. I listened to book one first, which I'm glad I did as you do need to listen to it before, as there are quite a few characters that are also in the 2nd book so you'll need to know who they are. I thought both books were brilliant and really intriguing and intense and kept you on tenter hooks wanting to know what was coming next. In this 2nd one I thought Fiona, for an intelligent woman, was a bit too careless with her life. Croft was right telling her off.
I liked that she had 3 men desiring her and I can't wait for book 3 to know who she's picked to take her virginity, but I can guess who it is, although I would prefer it to be Aramis Nighthorse. I loved the part when they were at The Orchard in the room together. I thought they had a lot of chemistry between them.
I hope book 3 will be available soon. Can't wait.
As for the narrators I thought they were good, I preferred them much more than the narrator of the first book.

Historia
Lisa Madison wants a husband, and she has just the candidate in mind: Robert Langley. Trouble is, the infuriating man insists on seeing her as the impish girl she once was.... When her beauty lands her in danger, it's Robert who comes to the rescue, only to announce his affections are not of the romantic kind! Robert saw enough sorrow in his parents' union to know he wants nothing to do with marriage, which is exactly what he'll be trapped into if he acts on his desire for the irksome siren. And then Lisa does what Robert least expects: gives up on him!

Enjoyed it
Revisado: 02-01-22
Enjoyed the story, the plot was really good. It was funny in quite a few parts, but Lisa was such an idiot at times, I couldn't believe the trouble she got herself into because of her stupidity, at times she acted like a child. And she was constantly saying 'Oh' like she was dense or something.
The narrator was my least favourite of the 3 narrators of this series. The men sounded like either pompous assess or like women or like young boys. Daniel's and Richard's, the 2 heroes of the previous books, were awful.
Apart from the first book I don't think I will be listening to them again.

Historia
Suzette is not like other heiresses; she wants a poor husband, a gentleman who will be so grateful for her dowry that he will allow her access to it so that she can pay off her father's gambling debts. When this alluring beauty encounters Daniel Woodrow - handsome, titled, single, and even more impoverished than she could have hoped for - it seems Suzette's wildest dreams have come true. But Daniel has not been truthful.

Boring
Revisado: 01-30-22
This book was quite boring for the first 4 hours as it was exactly like the first book, almost word for word except for the few parts when Daniel and Suzette were alone because it was from their POV. But in the last 3 hours the plot was good. But I don't think it's worth a credit if one will be listening to the 3rd book as I'm sure all will be explained in that about what happened at the end of this book.
As for the narrator she wasn't very good as the men all sounded like, either females or young boys. At times I couldn't tell who was talking, whether it was a man or a woman.
Also, I said this in my review of the first book, I can't understand why both narrators pronounced the word dowry, dower, its quite annoying as it is used quite a few times.
Now on to the 3rd book the hunt for Lisa's husband.

Historia
The fairy tale courtship did not turn into a happily-ever-after. Not until her husband dropped dead, that is. He had been horrible enough to Christiana during their short marriage, and she was not going to allow the traditional period of mourning to ruin her sisters' debuts as well. So she decides to put him on ice and go on as if nothing's happened.... Until the real earl appears.

Very enjoyable
Revisado: 01-28-22
Enjoyed it very much. It was quite funny in some parts.
The narrator was good but I can't understand why she pronounced the word dowry, dower, it is not the correct way., it should be pronounced dow-ree, and the word was mentioned quite a bit so it was quite annoying. Also she was a bit over dramatic in some parts especially the sex scenes.

New Orleans, 2020. Billionaire Rhys McCaim doesn’t believe for one second that his missing mother is a time traveler. Still, his father insists that she didn’t leave them willingly but was pulled through time to her true home in medieval Scotland. But when he and his three brothers test out an ancient time-traveling spell to appease their dying father and Rhys is catapulted to 13th-century Scotland, he can’t exactly deny it anymore. Suddenly, he’s a Highlander in a land on the verge of war.

Loved it
Revisado: 03-09-20
As always loved every second of it like I do every book of Julie Johnstone. Was so anxious to know how it would end but at the same time didn't want it to finish. Can't wait for book 2. And hope we will have more of Rhys and Maggie. And Tim Campbell narrating is the icing AND the cherry on the cake. I love his narrating. He's my favourite narrator.
