Historia
Following the 2008 financial crisis, the Federal Reserve's monetary policy placed much greater focus on stabilizing the market than on helping struggling Americans. As a result, the richest Americans got a lot richer while the middle class shrank and economic and wealth inequality skyrocketed. In Engine of Inequality, Karen Petrou offers pragmatic solutions for creating more inclusive monetary policy and equality-enhancing financial regulation as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Don't waste your time.
Revisado: 03-06-24
The author does not have a sufficient understanding of economic or monetary theory. She repeats typical, liberal anti-white sentiments about "inequalities." She ought to read Thomas Sowell's Discrimination and Disparites.

Historia
For generations, everything has been getting faster, better, and cheaper. Finally, we reached the point that almost anything you could ever want could be sent to your home within days - even hours - of when you decided you wanted it. America made that happen, but now America has lost interest in keeping it going.

Historia
In The Social Leap, William von Hippel lays out a revolutionary hypothesis, tracing human development through three critical evolutionary inflection points to explain how events in our distant past shape our lives today. From the mundane, such as why we exaggerate, to the surprising, such as why we believe our own lies and why fame and fortune are as likely to bring misery as happiness, the implications are far-reaching and extraordinary.

If you are a student of biology there is nothing new here for you. The author tends to ramble and write as if he is speaking in casual conversation, often times going off subject or making unrelated references. Nothing new or interesting. Mostly just regurgitations of more prominent works.
