I wish I had returned this credit bc it just dragged on and on. Kept thinking it would get better but no it did not, even this twist all the other reviewers talked about was not worth the wait . Just don’t waste your time. The main character Ruby is so clueless & pathetic & the storyline just was so flat. Worst book in awhile

It was just ok & not something I would recommend honestly. Street lit is nothing new to me but it’s the same song & dance unfortunately I’m this story. Really love Ashley’s work so may try another one

Started off great but then complete eye roll

I was so intrigued by the book even tho it took 13 chapters to get rolling for me & then as soon an I really felt excited let down after let down. Iris was so whiney I could barely finish, I get she was grieving but if she wasn’t rude to those around her then she was unbearable with the constant whining & unreasonable things she did.
**Spoiler Alert**
Will was basically a coward that would become a criminal so that his peer Corbin wouldn’t tell his wife what happened from the past bc idk the truth was too “hard” then basically then tried to get her pregnant before he disappeared ugh please. They are located in Atlanta & everyone is white but all of a sudden the one black character is the ultimate bad guy that threatens to kill & rape Iris smh. Then quotes “Have you ever seen a black guy run” like all blacks are superhuman runners was just like wtf. Idk what the author was thinking but umm ok. The ending was rushed but left a twist so it wasn’t a total waste I guess...

Disappointed

I’m surprised I even finished this book but I did. I have read other books by BH but I was just not a fan of this one at all & it was just too unrealistic unless women really are this dumb. 3 women chasing a man that repeatedly disrespects them, tries to fight over a kid not biological his, cousins share women but they pound each other up the next day like nothing happens. Just a hard no to this & the series that follows...

Different love story

I overall enjoyed the plot & finished it within a few days. The male narrator was awesome but I found the woman narrator to be too dramatic and distracting most of the time in my opinion. I would recommend this book to others.

The first story was silly as hell to me , idk maybe bc she was 40 and acting that way especially over a young drug dealer??? Just wasn’t feeling it. The second story was better and I enjoyed it for a short story

I figured out the twist mid book but I still enjoyed the plot a lot. I didn’t like how it all ended at all which is why I gave 3 stars, just fell flat to me. The narrator was great & enjoyed how he told the story.

Bored to tears

I really enjoy this author soooo much but book 3 was a drag. I wanted my credit back but I really enjoyed the other two books in this series so I felt obligated to finish it out. There was no real plot just back & forth with Ethic begging to be forgiven and Alana not making up her mind it was annoying. And then Morgan pleading throughout the whole book, it was all so repetitive.
