I knew when I started The Mary Pages, I would finish it the same day and return to it repeatedly. Sally Read feels like a kindred spirit. I am so grateful for this affirming and lovely book.

When You Realize You're Holding Your Breath...

... while listening and waiting and wondering what's going to happen next... That's when you know you're thoroughly invested in a story. I was reminded a lot of The Abyss and I wanted the story to go on and on. Really great production of a very good story. Thank you. P.S. If you find the narration annoying, check your playback speed. I was listening to the story too fast at first and that just didn't work for me. So glad I went back and tried again at a slower clip. So much better.
