I know what you're thinking. "This is the court transcript. It'll be boring legal speak." Not true!

In listening to this audiobook, I found there were so many twists and turns in this book to keep the listener hanging in suspense. I can't forget the police blunders. By today's standards they would be called blunders. Yes, they seem to abound in this second half of the transcript.

You'll just love listening to the latest audiobook from Jim Jordan. Read by W.B. Ward, this book is a must-have for your home library!

Did Lizzie Borden really back her father and step-mother to death? In. The Fall River Murders: Trial Of Lizzie Borden Volumn I you can judge for yourself as W.B. Ward reads the first part of the original court transcript.

This reviewer found the audio book riviting and is anxiously awaiting Volumn II. I can't help but wonder if the trial shouldn't be re-opened for two reasons: men's opinions of women being delicate creatures, a popular opinion of the time, also there seems to be some conflicting evidence in Volumn I. So, did she do it?

Would you consider the audio edition of WDA Classics Presents Mary Shelley's Frankenstein to be better than the print version?

I can't say. I never read the book. After reading this, I wish I had.

What was one of the most memorable moments of WDA Classics Presents Mary Shelley's Frankenstein?

Most of the book. All I've ever seen were the Boris Karloff movies about Frankenstein. This is so different from those movies! It shows how the monster was the real victim, his need for social interaction, and never wanting to hurt anyone. Instead, he's feared because of his size and looks. He never terrorized the villagers nor did they chase him with pitchforks. Victor Frankenstein is the real monster in this classic version.

Which character – as performed by W. B. Ward – was your favorite?

The monster.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A story of discrimination.

Any additional comments?

A must-hear for anyone like myself who has never read Mary Shelley's classic!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. There are many people who enjoy a factual history.

What did you like best about this story?

I learned many things I didn't know about the territory. For instance, I had no idea about all the warfare between the English and the Spanish, the backstabbing, trickery, or that the forming of Mississippi spanned such a distance.

What about W. B. Ward’s performance did you like?

W.B. Ward's inflections and telling of the story made it easy to understand.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No.

Any additional comments?

No.

This audiobook was a great piece of history. From the comments at the end of the book, I can fully understand why some of our founding fathers didn't agree with this. It was before we won the Revolutionary War. We were on shaky ground not knowing how we were going to manage our lives or if we were going to make it. I do hope this short book made it back to King George since he was basically "told off."

W.B. Ward gives the book the treatment the book deserves. His voice and inflections are perfect for it.

I really recommend this book for your audiobook library!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

No. This is scientific evidence, written and spoken in easy to understand language, that comes from decades (maybe centuries) of research and just noticing the things that happen to our natural environment.

What other book might you compare A World to Live In to and why?

I can't think of another book to compare it to.

Which character – as performed by W.B. Ward – was your favorite?

There were no real characters in this book. Just factual evidence. Although the book did give credit to the scientists who gathered the evidence.

Do you think A World to Live In needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes. I think the book needs a follow-up. This book to me is like a wake-up call for people and how we're destroying the earth, vegetation, etc. I'd like the follow-up to tell us of any improvement in this field.

No.

If you could sum up A Rabbi Looks at the Afterlife in three words, what would they be?

Very well researched.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Rabbi Looks at the Afterlife?

If I have to pick one moment of A Rabbi Looks at the Afterlife it would be the chapter on Near Death Experiences.

Which scene was your favorite?

Most of the Near Death Experiences (not the people who experienced Hell) had the calm, peaceful feeling that mirrors my own experience. It was interesting how so many people viewed so many different things like the woman who saw her father in a driving a wagon while other relatives were in front of it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A memorable, thought provoking movie!

Any additional comments?

Everyone should listen to this. You'll find that many ancient cultures believed and still do believe in some form of Heaven, Hell, and Near Death Experiences.

Would you listen to The Illuminati again? Why?

Yes. Even though we don't know if the Illuminati exists or not, it makes for a great story. Conspiracy theories always add something to a story and this is no exception. To think that this group can control countries, the weather (with the H.A.A.R.P. machine), cause wars, etc. is very scary. W.B. Ward is the perfect narrator for this since his voice is soothing and calms you through the controversial book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I had no favorite character. I liked the whole book.

Which scene was your favorite?

I wouldn't call it a scene but the happenings in the 20th/21st century stuck with me.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

JFK and Bobby Kennedy's murders as well as them starting WWII.

Any additional comments?

This book really makes you wonder if they exist or not!

Both of the newlyweds.

If you could sum up WDA Classics Presents Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in three words, what would they be?

I've heard the story of Sleepy Hollow (sometimes called The Headless Horseman) since I was a child. From seeing it as the Disney cartoon to required reading in school. Hearing WB Ward's rendition of it takes the story to a whole new level that Washington Irving would be proud of. What makes this telling was the telling of what the little village of Sleepy Hollow was like and just how superstitious the people were after the civil war. Ward's voice inflections not only added humor in the right places (which made me chuckle) to the creepiness for a person who had to ride off into a foggy night by himself. I can see how people got so superstitious back then.

What other book might you compare WDA Classics Presents Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow to and why?

I would compare this story to the Pit and the Pendulum. Even though both were read by Mr. Ward and one book was about a murdering madman. The inflections of Mr. Ward added the added creepiness you don't get from reading. It's like sitting around a campfire listening to ghost stories,

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene where Ichabod Crane was being chased by the Headless Horseman. It was so funny in parts (where Gunpowder ran into the fence sideways and ran into the briars). Also, the description of the Headless Horseman himself as he chased Ichabod. WB Ward's inflections made this suspenseful and creepy!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Ichabod didn't get Katrina but the bully did instead. I felt sorry for him.
