Somehow I love her even more now...
Revisado: 08-11-20
Just listen.
She is great and witty and smart. Truly a authentic person with a fantastic ability to make me sporadically spit my coffee across my computer screen as I work from home during this shitty pandemic.
Amy, thank you for making the last few days lighter and more joyful.

Historia
It is the morning of the reaping that will kick off the 10th annual Hunger Games. In the Capitol, 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow is preparing for his one shot at glory as a mentor in the Games. The once-mighty house of Snow has fallen on hard times, its fate hanging on the slender chance that Coriolanus will be able to out charm, outwit, and outmaneuver his fellow students to mentor the winning tribute. The odds are against him. He’s been given the humiliating assignment of mentoring the female tribute from District 12, the lowest of the low.

Narration of female voices and songs fell flat
Revisado: 08-03-20
I enjoyed the story, however my dislike was in the narration. While he was fine for the male roles, the voice change for the female characters was poor and almost condescending in tone.
There were also many parts that included singing or ballads and his voicing of the words in a flat monotone completely took away from the story within the lyrics. At some points even saying "La la, la la la..." instead of humming or even attempting to sing the tune. I realize that the songs are likely written as poetry as opposed to actual music being se got them, but in a story where the songs are pivotal it was a huge let down.

That's how they end? MAY HAVE SPOILERS
Revisado: 06-02-20
It was moderately interesting, fairly predictable and honestly it brings light to LBGTQ marriage and the archaic refusal of acceptance to this group by the church... but that's it, no real discussion and really it seemed to bend in the favor of the church. THEN the main character continued on with her failing marriage following this advice and continues to lament this flame that never happened and it simple ends with the decision that she's a romantic??? WTF

Historia
Brit is the second violinist, a beautiful and quiet orphan; the viola is Henry, a prodigy who's always had it easy; the cellist is Daniel, the oldest, the angry skeptic who sleeps around; and on first violin is Jana, their flinty, resilient leader. Together, they are the Van Ness String Quartet. In The Ensemble, each character takes the spotlight and picks up the melody, from the group's youthful rocky start through to middle age, through both devastating failures and wild success.

uninteresting and repetitive
Revisado: 09-25-19
couldn't finish it, maybe it was the delivery but I was completely turned off by all the characters and the description of their lives. I felt like the same sentiments, literally some of the same sentences just kept being used over and over. I just stopped and returned it after 4 chapters.
