A basic story with a horrible voice actor
Revisado: 01-25-23
The core of this plot is decent - the battles are entertaining, however the flag waving, shallow characters, and the protagonists whiney internal dialog get annoying fast.
The absolute worst is the the reader. He whispers when it's people are obviously yelling and any word the ends with a "p" he slaps his lips together like a dog eating a cheeseburger.
It's not worth going beyond book six.

Historia
The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Underwhelming and vanilla. Don't get your hopes up.
The only thing good about this is R.C BRAY

This voice actor ruined the story
Revisado: 12-14-22
The voic the acting and narration was soooooooooo bad I stopped listening and just read the series.
The series itself is unique to this genre and generally well put together. It deserved a better reader.

Historia
The Terran Coalition faces repeated and brutal attacks from the repressive League of Sol. To defend his home planet, David trades his dream of becoming a rabbi for a battlefront in the far reaches of space. When particle beams fly, his courage under fire brings quick promotion. But in the lulls between battles when he must confront his soul, David finds a different enemy: the ghosts of those killed under his command. Yet in war, it’s kill or be killed - and the enemy shows no mercy. David must square the tenets of his faith against his responsibility to crew and country.

A strange pairing of military sci-fi and Judaism
Revisado: 03-10-20
Well written, but contains a good amount of flag waving and nods towards the Judaeo-Christian faiths. The voice acting and audio production do much to add to the value of the title, but still falls a little flat.

Solid, for the genre
Revisado: 03-10-20
Overall, this is a well put-together litRPG story that comfortably hits all the themes and tropes associated with RPGs. Extremely reminiscent of Pokemon, this a good story for younger readers, but likely leaves older readers feeling underwhelmed.
Aside from this fact, the voice acting is excellent and certainly adds to the value of this audible title.
