Edgar Cayce - the renowned 20th century clairvoyant, mystic, acclaimed "sleeping prophet", and most documented psychic of all time - accessed his information from these records. And yet the Akashic Records are open and accessible to us all. Author, lecturer and world-renowned Cayce scholar Kevin Todeschi gives you the secrets to accessing the sacred library of information

Not as Good as I had hoped
Revisado: 07-10-20
I really love reading anything regarding Edgar Cayce, and have read and listened to other books by Kevin Todeschi which were excellent, however this one fell short. It was less of a book and more of a taping of a presentation that Todeschi gave in the past mixed in with his other thoughts. There was even a poorly conducted interview of Todeschi spliced in which did not fit in at all and should not be part of reading a written book by an author.
To make matters much worse, there were two blatant advertisements by the publisher of the book, Nightingale, that were inserted in the audio - right in the middle of the book and again at the end. It was completely inappropriate and a huge turn off.
This seemed to be falsely advertised as a book written and narrated by the author, and more of a mishmash of things cobbled together and called an audiobook. There were some nice thoughts and meditations and information provided, but it was not presented in a very cohesive manner. I was disappointed.
As I mentioned, I really like and have a tremendous amount of respect for Kevin Todeschi and would highly recommend his other books. I just hope his future books are more like those and not like this one.

Historia
Greece in the age of heroes. Patroclus, an awkward young prince, has been exiled to the kingdom of Phthia to be raised in the shadow of King Peleus and his golden son, Achilles. “The best of all the Greeks”—strong, beautiful, and the child of a goddess—Achilles is everything the shamed Patroclus is not. Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

Amazing story that grabs you right from the very beginning and holds your interest and imagination throughout! The narration is superb and the storyline is captivating. Best book I’ve “read” in a long time - and it’s memory will last on! Can’t wait to read the next book by this masterful author!

More than 30 years ago, nutrition researcher T. Colin Campbell and his team at Cornell University, in partnership with teams in China and England, embarked upon the most comprehensive study ever undertaken of the relationship between diet and the risk of developing disease. What they found, when combined with findings in Campbell's laboratory, opened their eyes to the dangers of a diet high in animal protein and the unparalleled health benefits of a whole foods, plant-based diet.

Everyone should be made aware of this!
Revisado: 03-18-18
If there’s one nutrition book whose knowledge should be shared with the whole world, it is this one. I admire the honesty and integrity of Dr Campbell and the courage and perseverance that he has demonstrated through his entire life and career. He has taken the high road in discovering the truth and sharing that truth to the public, despite the huge barriers that were put in his way from academia, industry, and government. He has stayed the course to tell the truth, no matter how difficult it is and despite the torrent of activity to try and suppress him.
The book is very technical and scientific in parts, which may lose the reader’s interest, however it is good to listen through to the end.
Anyone struggling with or has the potential for heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cancer, MS should most definitely listen to the Drs findings.
This book has inspired me to eat a Whole Food Plant Based diet. It won’t be easy to eliminate meat and dairy from my diet, but I am going to do my very best to do so, and this book armed me with all of the reasons that convince me to do so. I hope that others are inspired to do so as well.
Thank-you Dr Campbell!

"Cayce colored Parachute"
Revisado: 07-23-17
I am a big fan of all Edgar Cayce material. Though I felt that this book was more of a career guidance manual that felt like the industry standard "What Color is Your Parachute" sprinkled with some Edgar Cayce wisdom in between. It is a good book if that is what you're looking for. It does have some relevance to all of us, but I felt that the book missed the mark by trying to be too many things at the same time. If you do like this kind of book, I would definitely suggest a hard copy of the book so that you could go through the exercises, which is more difficult to do with an audio version.

My Favorite Dyer Book
- De Tamara en 07-15-08
Feel good book but maybe oversimplified
Revisado: 12-07-16
I think this book was good overall. It was the first I've listened to by Dr Wayne Dyer. I've seen him on PBS specials but never read any of his books. I was looking forward to this one. I do think a lot of what he says holds strong truths, however I think he oversimplifies the profound wisdom behind them. I love St Francis and was pleased to hear his words again with Dyer's perspective. I just think he waters down so much and doesn't get into any depth at all. He mentions Mary Baker Eddy and espouses some Christian Science philosophy, but doesn't label it as such. It was all a very lightly brushed version of spirituality. I guess I was expecting more. I'm not sure if the reading was sped up or not during the production, but he seemed to talk fast through all of his concepts, without the normal pause a speaker would use naturally. It exacerbated the previous issue to make it sound like he was glossing over deep topics very quickly and superficially.

A comprehensive overview of the heavenly realms from the author's viewpoint and experience.
Revisado: 12-06-15
It was a very interesting book overall. However I was constantly wondering or questioning HOW the author has such a comprehensive and detailed description of all of aspects and personifications of the heavenly hosts. It is not that I do not believe wholeheartedly in God and in all of the power of the heavenly hosts in the angelic realm - I DO - completely and with all of my being. I just wonder how SHE has categorized this vast and humanly incomprehensible realm in such self-affirming detail. I do not doubt nor affirm her claims, as she is merely sharing her deep personal experience and life's story. I pray for her and for all of us that are on the spiritual path for the Truth to reveal itself in a deeply profound and personal way and for the Transformative Light of God to shine forth in and among us all.

Great story of the life of a truly remarkable man !
Revisado: 10-30-15
I have read many books gleaned from Edgar Cayce's material but never read the original biography of the man. This shed an interesting perspective onto the collective narrative thereof. It was very good overall and offered great insight and context on the story of the man.

When Autobiography of a Yogi first appeared in 1946, it was acclaimed as a landmark work in its field. The New York Times hailed it as "a rare account". Newsweek pronounced it "fascinating". The San Francisco Chronicle declared, "Yogananda presents a convincing case for yoga, and those who 'came to scoff' may remain 'to pray." Today it is still one of the most widely read and respected books ever published on the wisdom of the East.
