I really enjoyed this book. It was the first from this author and I'll be looking for more. I haven't listened to many books with a single narrator in a while, but I found that this was enjoyable, Kami Havens did a great job with all the characters. Jimmy is a sports reporter, and Dania is the star pitcher! Jimmy has the cutest son who tells him exactly like it is!

Levi and Noelle are full of misconceptions/misunderstandings. Noelle isn't who she seems, but Levi falls hard. He'd give up everything to be with her, but she has to figure out where she belongs! Get ready for wild ride with this audio.

Ford and Tessa Part 1

I started my journey on this author's work with the Pretty Monsters Trilogy. A lot of the characters are in the trilogy as "side characters". Ford and Tessa play a role in that series but I'm so glad that we get their story because it's a lot more than the impressions we get in the other series. You don't have to have read it first to enjoy this book and I don't know if it will change your impression of these characters. These are different points of view from the same time/life events. In this we get a real view of Tessa and Ford vs the assumptions or limited interactions of Sin and Raven. I do think this book is one I wish I was reading along with the audio so I could stop and highlight quotes! "Two broken people whose edges might cut each other", was a quote that left impact. This forbidden love "step siblings", isn't a trope I usually would seek out but it's so much more. I definitely need the next book to know what happens, if these two broken people can heal together or if they'll leave each other bleeding out! I was so drawn in by this audiobook. I will say characters that I thought I wouldn't like changed my opinion of them and one that "seemingly" had things more together and had overcome demons surprised me by how much they were still struggling/dealing with. I don't want to spoil any of the book because I want you to have authentic feelings like I did. While listening and things were unfolding, I think my opinions on the characters were constantly evolving. So yes read/listen to this one and Pretty Monsters trilogy if you think it even sounds remotely interesting.

Great Characters!

Annabelle and Ryder both make quick assumptions when they meet with a bang. Annabelle is strong and appears to have everything anyone could ever need. Annabelle's father is a sexist uncaring individual who plays a big role in their story. Ryder has a great support system with his brother's and nephew. I definitely want to see more of them. Annabelle has the best friend group; a friend who will stand behind your decisions and agree with you at all costs, one who will give you a different perspective if they think you're wrong and one what is a happy medium! Annabelle's one goal was to make a difference in her community and Ryder helps her find a different path to do just that. These two are prefect for each other and I couldn't love them more! Get ready for a great story with characters you'd want to go out for drinks with!

Mad because Feelings!

Jasper and Lyndee were in culinary school together. They had an interesting relationship since they had different life goals. Lyndee was more interested in baking and Jasper was more into entrees. While there is a lot of tension between these two it's more about fighting emotion because Jasper doesn't want to "feel". I really enjoyed Lyndee's brother's part in this book, I think that his relationship with Jasper and his friends was a redeeming point. I might not have loved this one as much as book 1 in the series, but I still enjoyed it. I do enjoy a good grump though. If you listened to book one, then I think that you'll enjoy seeing more of the characters that made an impression.

Love At First Touch!

Kasi and Levi have known each other their whole lives. He's never looked at her as a potential partner until one touch changed it all. It might not be love at first sight but love at first touch. He's a growly, dominant, hardworking man who falls first! Kasi is dealing with the grief after suddenly losing her mother. Kasi is doing everything she can to keep her family and their farm surviving. I loved how close the family and community are. These two find love but also have a lot of obstacles to overcome to find HEA. I can't wait to see what happens next! Audio was great.

Living a Rom Com

Archer and Ella are entertaining from the start! Archer wants to dislike Ella for what she represents “Rom Com Princess”, and she wants to dislike him for his grumpiness especially since he isn’t her fake fiancé. Ella is so much more than what she is portrayed to be by the media. Archer is busy doing what he thinks he has to do not what he's really passionate about! The more time these two spend together the more they learn about themselves and each other! This is a standalone and the final book in this series, I haven’t read/listened to all of the series but was able to fall along easily. This audiobook narrated by Lee Samuels & Ava Erikson. This book hit a lot of my favorite tropes: Grumpy-sunshine, small town, forbidden love, workplace romance, he falls first, hockey playing winemaker, reluctant actress.

Conflicted

I think this is probably the hardest review I had to write in a long time. Narrator Clarence Carter Boucher did a good job. The book itself was decent. I personally am pretty sensitive to sounds/noises so it sounded like to me this was distant a little like it was far away or talking in a can. At about Chapter 10 there are two recordings on top of each other and it's probably and pivotal plot point that you are left wondering what you missed. After this I really enjoyed the fact that each chapter was announced who's point of view it is. I really wish the audio wasn't so problematic because I could give the book/narrator a fairer rating.

Sweet Spot Indeed

I've put this one off because I saw some people commenting about needing the tissues with it. Well, I wasn't ready to get my heart broken so I put it off. Why? Why? I don't know, I shouldn't have. I adored this book and even though it does hit you in the feels as this author usually does approach very real issues that may break your heart but rest assured it'll be mended by the end of the book and it'll be only happy tears! =) Narrators did a great job and it's a must read/listen.

Finding "Magic"

I am not big on misunderstanding and not having a conversation for years but as a grieving child I can understand it up to a point. Paige was a character I loved but also wanted to yell at a couple times but her friends gave her the nice advice. Nate is perfect caring, understanding, and patient. I absolutely adored Nate's family and how they accepted Paige so easily. As far as accidental pregnancy tropes this one is actually more realistic than a lot of them. I loved this addition to this series.
