Great story, terrible execution

This is a fantastic story, but it feels like the author forgot to create the universe his characters inhabit. They make decisions and take actions that make no sense because the reader doesn’t know much about the world.

Emotional ending to a fantastic trilogy

If you finished the first two, you are going to live how JR wraps up this trilogy. This one has the most dog-like feel to it of any of them and fully embraces the canine psyche. Go Kyno Corps!

Feels like an early draft

Since the story is set in the US, an American editor should have corrected all of the slang and common usage nouns to things that are actually used in the US. Many of the characters flip between totally incompetent and supremely capable and knowledgeable. Needs more refinement.

I wanna fight for the Kyno Corps

This is book 2! If you haven’t read/listened to book one, go do that first or this one won’t make much of any sense.

This is a fantastic part 2 to the Kynolari story on Earth. One again, the performance by Taylorson is perfect. Like all Robinsomverse books, the plot never goes exactly where you think it should :). I don’t know if it’s a good thing or bad that I am now starting to think like him enough to see things coming, but I don’t want it to stop!

Good narration, terrible story

If you are a prepper dad who is estranged from your family, this is the book for you. The story is filled with competent friends of a dead prepper, whose children learn that they “should have listened to dear ol dad.” Every other member of society is either completely clueless about how to survive or a gun-toting raping psychopath who shoots at everything that moves. Every government employee is incompetent and evil. Every character has the same vocabulary and way of speaking, so they are all pretty much interchangeable.

Overall, this is a good survival story, but the author and editor have clearly never been inside a WalMart, used paracord, or had any hands-on survival training.

You know you love your good boy

If you are one of the lucky ones to have found your good boy (or girl), you need to read this book. If you love a great adventure story, you need to read this book. If you love a good sci-fi, you need to read this book. If you love conspiracy theory stories, you need to read this book. If you love foul-mouthed chihuahuas and stoners, you need to read this book!

Jeremy has done it again. This story will have you laughing out loud, clenching until our heroes are out of danger, and sweating out your eyes in relief and memory.

Now I kinda want to join the Space Force

In the best Robinson style, this book is a wild adventure from cover to cover. His typical sophisticated humor is present in a way that will have you chuckling creepily to yourself as everyone else on the bus looks at you like YOU are the weirdo.

A fitting close to a fantastic story

From the writing to the performance, this is an absolutely amazing ending to the Helldivers story. Not gonna lie, I may have gotten some dust in my eyes at the end :).

It made me think more deeply about my personal health

The author has really made me think about how I treat my body. I’m getting older and have been suffering from chronic back pain for about six years. I stay relatively active and frequently lead Scouts on five to twenty mile hikes while toting a 30 pound pack, but now I am going to step up my game. I injure my knees every time I try to take up running, so I’m going to try the author’s advice and try frequent rucking.
